Spiced Black Bean Cake -roasted red pepper stuffed with black bean and corn dressing served with noodle salad and peanut sauce,
Would love to know if its any good. They just added this to the menue.
Laura
Sorry I put this on the wrong page. Anyone know how to move it?

It doesn't sound appealing but I guess if you were vegetarian, it might. Vegetarians would like to eat with thier meat-eating family.

Actually, on reading it closer it sounds like a stuffed pepper - that might not be bad ... the words "spiced black bean cake" sound awful. Still glad I eat steak!

It sounds like something I would try. I would love to see a picture of it.

Sounds like a weird mix of Southwest and Thai foods. Might be good, but it doesn't make me want to sing "O Canada!"

I am all for anything at Le cellier that doesnt leave me with a tomatoe and a ceasar salad. I left there pretty hungry last December.

I had called and told them I was a vegetarian with a mushroom allergy. They had the tomatoe stack and the ceaser salad for me. Good thing I love Dh alot, or we wouldnt be going back!

Yeah, it's a bit of an odd combo. I love stuffed peppers and I love peanut noodles, but together? I'd certainly be willing to try it. :)

I had this last week and I think it was one of the best things I ate during our 12 nights of the dining plan!!! It was so flavorful and delicious. I didn't eat the noodles because I didn't care for their consistency when they were cold. It was the one night that I had a reasonably portioned meal and didn't feel like I wasted a lot of food. I had the tomato stack for the appetizer and also thought that was the best appetizer of the week. I would highly recommend the entree!!!

I'm glad to hear that it was good.I'll be trying it in september. Was the pepper big.Have you ever had the stuffed pepper at the Prime time in MGM.Is it kinda of like that?
Laura

I have not had the pepper at primetime. This was a red pepper cut in half lengthwise. It was roasted, which shrunk it a little. The black bean cake was inside/ on top of it. It was delicious!

Wow, I think it's sounds great but I'd like a 1/2 portion next to my mushroom filet please:rotfl2: I'm going with 3 kids in September, all adults on the DDP, and I think we'll order this with one of the credits and then buy a kids dish OOP too so we can all try it -- oh, right, so I can try it because it's highly unlikely my chicken finger kids will want it even on the table, lol.

We ate at Le Cellier 3 weeks ago. My son and his fiance shared the spicy black bean cake and an open face steak sandwich and both preferred the black bean cake.
