Has anyone tried the "Gifts" thing?

I read on one of these boards something about a gift you can order for a child that will be placed in your cabin for arrival. Has anyone done this and how would I order it. I'm afraid I've taken in so much information but haven't been careful to keep track of where I get the info from. Has anyone out there done this? I have my grandniece and nephew (3yo and 6yo) coming with me and would like to get them something like that. It will be their first time on vacation without their Mom and Dad and I would like to start their cruise out a little special but I trust these boards more than any ad I read. Thanks for any responses.

DD's birthday is this week. We usually cruise on her birthday..but not this year. She has already mentioned that she won't be getting the surprise that Shirley makes for her when Mickey and Minnie order it!!!!

I also recommend calling The Perfect Gift. Shirley and her crew do a wonderful job. I have ordered from them for both of our cruises. DD8 still kind of thinks that the bag of goodies really WAS from Mickey even after I told her the truth that it wasn't!

The first cruise I ordered the sand toys. THe bucket was filled with juice boxes and snacks. The second I ordered the tote back filled with the same plus an underwater camera. I also ordered a basket for DH (we were celebrating our birthdays!) and had some snacks, hard lemonade, and a plush Donald!

They will customize your 'basket' anyway you want.

I talked to Shirley yesterday and she was very nice and accomodating. I am only giving her 2 weeks notice and she went above and beyond for me! I am so looking forward to seeing the look on DH face when he see's the gift basket I had made for him, not to mention DD basket!

Shirley made a great basket for my DS3 last cruise. I just told her that Goofy was his favorite character. She put a TON of stuff in there, coloring books, snacks, juices, stickers etc. all with Goofy on them!! When DS saw Goofy on the ship, he said, "Thanks so much for the basket you made for me. I just love it!!". (Good thing Goofy played along and acted like he knew all about it!). Shirley does a WONERFUL job!!
