At $18.00 a pie, pizza is pretty expensive compared to other places. I'm from New Jersey/New York area, so my standards are pretty high, but I'm not expecting it to be the same- just tasty.

How is their pizza? Thick crust or thin? Is it real mozzarella or processed? Crunchy or soft? How does it taste? Thanks! :sunny:

They cook it in a wood burning oven, so it's thin crust. I'm not sure about the cheese information...but for the most part Spoodles tries to use very fresh ingredients, so I'd vote fresh. But I honestly don't know.

I've never gotten one from the window, but I've ordered one from room service. It was hot and fresh when I got it, and I thought it was pretty good. Someone who's had one more recently can probably give you a more informed opinion, though.

I have had it. If I had to pick one word to describe it it would be: Gross. I grew up in Eastern PA and some have moved there from NY/NJ and have opened restaurants. You can't beat that kind of pizza and Spoodles (IMO) is a real far cry from it. The only place that can even come close outside of PA/NY/NJ area I have found is La Pizzeria here in Fredericksburg. We bought 2 pies. Even the sauce was gross and I also didn't care for the cheese..it's some different type of blend. It's fresh..it's just not as good as NY pizza. The crust is thin, but it's just not the same. It's like cheesesteaks. Here in Fredericksburg they call them Steak and cheese and put lettuce, tomato and mayo on them. Not bad, but defintely not the same! I think you can just order a slice from the window and try it out.
