We'll be staying at OKW for our first DVC stay :goodvibes . We'll have a 1 bedroom, but we dont want to cook on vacation, so we'll pbbly get the dining plan. We're thinking of eating at Olivia's one night so we dont have to do so much traveling and have a relaxing night. How's the food there? We aren't looking for a spectacular meal, but just a decent meal in a relaxing enviroment.

For breakfast yes, it was awesome...not for dinner because the menu didnt wow DH. There are pics and reviews in my March/April link in my signature

We liked both, breakfast AND lunch we had there. Nothing extra spectacular, but a very nice and relaxed meal.
Have fun at OKW - I love it there!!!!! :goodvibes

1) It used to be utterly fantastic.
2) Now it is more than acceptable.
3) Due to DDP, it dumbed-down the menu of specialty items.
4) They also "standardized" other dishes.
5) You will be pleased with the meal, although not overwhelmed as before.

We ate lunch and dinner there on our recent trip. It's not a great value on the DDP so we paid oop for those meals (but we had 7 nights of credits but used them for 8 full days.) Our dinner there was a kids meal, an app, a salad and an entree salad for the 4 of us and cost less than some CS meals. Heck, our lunch of 4 entrees cost less than some CS meals after the DVC discount of 10%.

We liked the burgers, the homemade chips, the salads and the kids meals.

We go to Olivia's for lunch after we check in at OKW. It's our first meal at Home.

We have liked everything we have had. DH really liked the fried chicken (bone-in ) pieces. He was disappointed that it was no longer on the menu. We don't eat much fried food at home, so this was a special treat for him. We aren't big fans of KFC.

Olivia's atmosphere is nice and relaxed.

Totally agree,
We used to think it was one of disneys best kept secrets but now due to the standarized menu, it is simply ok. Food was good and hot but no dishes that bowled me over.

We ate there for dinner during our visit last August and really enjoyed our meal. We had the special (which was meatloaf -- are we wild, or what? LOL) and it was really good as well as the service.

We have eaten at Olivia's on several occasions on the first night we arrive. Even though we have always really enjoyed the food it never fails that our service is unbelievably slow. Each time it has happened. We now take a bus and grab some really great food at Earl of Sandwich at DTD and spend half the money.

I agree with those who have said that Olivia's has decent food and a relaxing atmosphere. Melora added that they have "unbelievably slow" service. I'd forgotten about that. I can recall being pretty frustrated with the service for at least one of our two meals there.
