Has anyone tried Laminating with Wax paper??

I'll be interested in your results. My dd tried to do this with autumn leaves - like we all did years ago - and couldn't make it stick to itself. We wondered if perhaps wax paper doesn't actually contain any wax any more? Good luck!

I can't wait to hear how this turns out, I have 2 placemats I would like to do...

The cheapest way that I use to laminate projects is clear adhesive shelf paper also called "peel and stick laminate" or "adhesive clear laminate". I buy the Duck brand at Walmart. It comes in a big roll and is 12 inches by 36 feet...so you can use it on a lot of projects and it is around $5.00. On the label it says that it is great for scrapbooking or craft projects as it is acid free and non yellowing.

It is in the home goods section at Walmart and is with all of the shelf paper. It is way cheaper than using wax paper as you get 36 feet in a roll.

Dolly please help! I've been to walmart, target, office depot looking for this and the only lMonating stuff is using and having to buy the machine which my projects I'm wanting to laminate are too big for the machine. My cruise is less than three weeks away and I'm at a stand still with my magnets cause I can't find it at all. Please please help.

It is usually in the same place as the drawer lining papers are!

It is in the home goods section of walmart. Ask an employee where the shelf paper is. It is generally on a bottom shelf or second to the bottom shelf and they will have lots of different colors and styles. You will want the one that is clear and it will say "peel and stick laminate". Walmart actually carries two brands. I have only used the Duck brand and it even says on the side for scrapbooking and craft projects, but again it is sold with shelf paper and it comes in rolls like wrapping paper but shorter.

Try the isle that has closet organizing things...in my walmart it is on the same isle but across from the closet organizing things. If you ask an employee that works in the home goods section they will be able to take you right to the shelf paper. I have a smaller Walmart that only carries half of what most Walmart stores have and mine carries it...so I'm certain yours will carry it as well. It should be for around $5.00 or less.

It is not sold as a laminating product at Walmart it is sold as shelf paper and says peel and stick laminate. Don't look in the office supply section you will only find the laminating products there...look with the home goods where they sell shelf paper or drawer liners.

Here is a link to what it looks like:

You can also buy it online if your Walmart doesn't sell it:

...also try call office supply stores, maybe they will have it.

Let me know if you find it.

AHHHH!!! THANK YOU! I'm going to go to target right now and look in the shlef lining section:headache: I've been looking in the office supplies and laminating section DUH!!! :headache:

THANK YOU THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH!:worship:

It can also be called Contact Paper. It's clear with gridlines printed on the waxy side that you peel off.
