Has anyone tried La Cava del Tequila

Oh La Cava... How I still dream of the maragaritas... Seriously though, DH and I are margarita connoisseurs and La Cava has some of the best we've ever had! My advice is to stop by on a weeknight. We were able to get a table on a Wednesday but come Friday night the line was out the door! Don't worry - we still waited - we just ordered at the bar and took the margaritas on a WS stroll!

I was thinking about making a quick stop in La Cava during my solo birthday trip (also during F&W) this year... do you think I'd be uncomfortable there, alone?

Absolutely not! I've enjoyed going here by myself. The staff is very friendly too and will chat with you about the menu and tequilas.

My wife and I are thinking about trying the tequila bar in the Mexico Pavilion. Any feedback? (how long is the wait, are the drinks/food good, over all impression)

I have been to La Cava several times, and once by myself! I have always found a place to sit (ok, one time I was at a 'standing' table!) and have never found it too busy. If you don't want to sit in here, you can get in the to go line for drinks.

The drinks are outstanding! I am not a fan of salt on my margaritas and they always accomodate me by either keeping it off or using a sugar rim - yum! They have a small selection of food (small plates) and the food is very good! This is a MUST DO on our trips now - two

I agree with the others that feel that you will be totally comfortable alone in La Cava. It's not like a bar-ish bar at all. Nice crowd and friendly bartenders. Just be cautious, the drinks are strong!

I can't recommend the restaurant inside the pyramid, but the new La Hacienda, the lovely TS restaurant on the lagoon side, is heavenly!
