Has anyone took a cab to cable beach for the day while in Nassau??

Just curious if anyone has just taken a cab to cable beach and spent the day there versus an excursion? There are 2 adults and 4 kids - we consideredthe Blue Lagoon but have heard that the Marriott resort on Cable Beach will let you use their facilities. Any info on this will help!!

We did this and probably wouldn't again, the cab ride over was fine and 5$ a person, the resort was pretty run down the pool was freezing and not realy a good pool for kids, no shallow end really, my dd is 6 and a good swimmer and it didn't work great for her, the slide comes out in deep water, deep for an adult.
The beach was fine and plenty of chairs. If you just want to use the beach and have access to a bathroom and changing room it would be fine.

My reccomendation would be to go to the Atlantis. We went there and stayed a week 2 years ago and are ready to go back.
