the christmas period..? I am booked into Hotel New York from the 23rd - 26th of December.

I was just wondering what crowd levels were like basically, especially Christmas day. I have stayed here over the New Year period and my god it was horrendous with queue times of around 2hrs on some rides.

I'd also be interested to know a little more about the breakfast menu. Are the sausages veal or have they started doing them in other types.

Hi yes I was in DLP at Christmas time. I was with my mum and we stayed at Sequoia Lodge December 23 to December 27 2013.

Christmas Day is manic just as bad as you experienced at New Year. For example Buzz wait time hit 120 minutes most days, we did it twice in a row during EMH when the wait time was 10 minutes!! In France the main day is Christmas Eve so on Christmas Day the park just fills up. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there are special Christmas Character meals in various restaurants. We did the Christmas Day special meal at Hotel New York Manhattan Restaurant. Check out my trip report in my signature

I am the only adult travelling. I look after my son full-time. He has two half brothers I am taking too ages are 12, 14 and 16. I am just wondering if the menu you posted is for both adults and kids as I don't think they would go for much of that....

Well for adults, yes I would There were many families there too and the children had no problem with the food, but maybe they were children who were used to that type of food. I did not see a separate children's menu, all the children were eating the same buffet food as the adults. Maybe if your children would not eat much off that menu then maybe you should check out the other Christmas Day meals. I got the Christmas brochure from my local travel agent in September. This listed all the special Christmas meals. Whatever you do I would defiantly recommend booking all meals in advance, as the park is at full capacity and many restaurants stop taking walk ins.

I second BadPinkTink's advice of booking any table service/buffets in advance - I remember seeing the queues in the Village for Rainforest and Planet Hollywood being hours long and people waiting because these were the only two that would take walk ups.

If you don't want to spend all that money on a special Christmas meal (we didn't!) then the restaurants that are not listed as offering the special ones will be business as usual and so will counter service. We were there for Christmas ten years ago and had our Chistmas Day lunch at the Lucky Nugget (in the days when it was a character buffet) - hope you have an equally magical time.
