Any comments regarding the Liki-Tiki resort in Winter Gardens?

My family and I stayed here for Christmas week in 2013 and we absolutely loved it. The pool area was awesome and our two kids, then 7 and 2, had an amazing time. We very much enjoyed all the resort activities such as mini golf, paddle boarding, and most of all the four seater bikes. My kids really loved those. They also had other daily activities that the kids participated in. We did not do any of the parks on this stay, so the distance did not bother us. But if you are doing Disney, I'm not sure this location would be acceptable. It is quite far out, but we will be going back the next time we go and do not do Disney.

We just stayed there Dec 15 to the 20th. Our unit was older but fine. I agree with the previous poster. It is great for young kids. My 13 & 15 year old were bored. But they love Orange Lake. Nothing great nothing bad to say.

I have owned 3 weeks at Liki Tiki since 1992, and have been many times. I don't think it's far at all to the parks, maybe 10 minutes tops to Animal Kingdom via Sherberth Road. We find there is always more than enough to do, between the water park, two pools/hot tubs, paddle boats, and bikes/basketball/tennis/shuffleboard etc. We travel with a group of all ages, from babies to toddlers to teens to young adults to seniors, and we do as much or as little as we like, using it as a home base to visit all central Florida has to offer. I'll admit that some units are much nicer than others, but the new ownership is making a lot of upgrades throughout the property.
