Any recommendations on hotels and restaurants?

Also, how's the drive in to Port Canaveral on embarkation day, or are there shuttles?

We always stay at the Hampton Inn by i-95. It is nice hotel and convenient for us driving in. They sometimes offer a discount on port parking. There are a few restaurants and stores close by. We sometimes make a last minute store run that morning. It is about 15-20 minutes to the port. We love the drive in as you can see the ship in the distance.

Yes. We stayed at the Fairfield inn last August prior to our cruise. We got in late from wdw so I don't know about restaurants. The drive in (on Saturday) was super easy.

It looks like the prices are cheaper in Titusville hotels, which is one reason to look at those options. We are planning on driving down, so it's on the way, as well. But what if someone were to fly? Do they have any fly and cruise shuttles in Titusville?

Have you looked at Go Port Canaveral? They have deals with hotels in Titusville that include shuttles to/from the port. They have deals for those who fly and drive. We used them in Jan. and will use them again next March. We flew and stayed at a hotel in Orlando, so I don't know how the hotels in Titusville are, but was happy with Go Port Canaveral.

Oh that's a good idea. I used them when I was looking for parking, but I forgot they had hotels there.

We stayed at the Fairfield inn in Titusville. It was 40% of port parking and breakfast was included. Drive to port was about 25 minutes on a Friday morning. Also there was a Walmart 5 minutes away where we did our last minute shopping.

I think the 40% parking deal is no more, as of Feb 28, 2017. I like that it's close, though.

Stayed there a couple of times prior to cruise. Nice newer hotel with breakfast. Cracker barrel right next door. Easy drive to the port.

Goportcanaveral has been very helpful.

I think we'll end up at the Country Inn and Suites, though. Once I figured out that the website was giving me Canadian prices that I thought were in USD, I felt better.
