My family and I are currently trying to book a cruise in December of 2019 on the Magic. Most of the ocean view rooms left are deck 1. There are a few on deck 2 aft and a few forward on deck 5, 6, and 7. We are looking at 6022 because its not as far forward and looks to be a fairly quiet location. I've searched for reviews but I don't see any posted in the last few years. I found some from several years back that mentioned smells and maintenance issues. If anyone has stayed in this room recently, can point me to some recent reviews, or know if the smell and maintenance issues have been fixed the info would be greatly appreciated!

We stayed in 6012 in September 2017 and didn't experience any problems

Thanks for the info. How did you feel about the location and any noise? This is my family's first cruise and we really don't know what to expect. This location is about $500 more than ocean view on decks 1 and 2 and I'm not sure if it's really worth the difference. The reviews for the rooms left on decks 1 and 2 is what is making us lean toward 6022.

I think I would go with deck 2 for $500 less if I could get mid-ship but the aft room reviews that are available have reviews that mention engine noise and vibration. I also like the idea of being near the kids area.
