Haven't stayed there, but my own view is that in a place like WH, which is less than 2 years old, how can a brand new home possibly be destroyed in that time?

If it's a new home, you have to assume everything is new, so even if the furnishings are not the most expensive, how bad can they be? Even a cheaper bed is good for a year, and some of the most expensive beds are never great (I know, my in-laws chucked a $1000 mattress after 6 months, it was so terrible).

Good luck!

I was JUST looking at Windsor Palms. What is the difference? We were ooking for a home and have never stayed anywhere but on property so this is a big leap for us. Need 4 bedrooms, too, for 3 nights, the wed. thurs, and fri that is Thanksgiving since we sail on Sat.
Would love to hear feedback about ouse rental experience!

Do a search on this board, or look at the review board adjacent to this one. Many of us are "converts" to the offsite villa experience.

WP and WH are very very similar. Equally close to WDW, both in a great location off 192, very new and pretty, security gated, etc. WH has more fancy common areas - their pool has a slide, zero depth entry, and they have more elaborate playgrounds. However, we have found when renting a pool home that we hit the parks most days and then use our own pool rather than the common one, so I wouldn't let the common areas be your deciding factor unless you felt you woudl really use them.

All of the communities in that area, such as Emerald Island and Formosa Gardens and Oak Island Cove are very nice.

And welcome nala-h!

Good luck!
