has anyone stayed at wilderness lodge and done the marathon?

I can get Wilderness lodge but have two questions:

1. is there a bus from wilderness to the start of the marathon? if not, how do I get there?

2. if I have friends staying at BLT and I am supposed to watch their kids for the 1/2 - will it be possible to get a taxi from wilderness to BLT early that morning - or will things be blocked off - and when does the block off start?

Buses run from all disney resorts to the expo and races so the lodge is not an issue.

Assuming you are getting to BLT early enough to see the friends off, there is no issue with the road. Even during the race, the northbound lanes remain open - albeit a two way flagger controlled lane.

We stayed there in 2011. On of the nice things was the buses were not crowded back to WL after the race. It was also nice to have indoor corridors on chilly mornings! One warning -- the bus did not drop off after the race where it picked up before (my dh waited for me in the wrong spot), not a big deal, but just be aware it is a possibility...
