We're off there in about 5 months, I know its a little premature but I'm just looking for reviews and such, and what to look out for and what to avoid!
I know its recently opened, and I have looked on other sites as well, but there are very few reviews, so your opinions are also invaluable!!!
Thank you!!

Not yet, but I'll let you know after next week. We are staying there. Can't wait! Have you tried TripAdvisor for reviews? The site has a good many.

We stayed there over christmas and new year. We rented a 3 bedroom apartment, and were very pleased with it; it was very spacious with a great view over towards Disney World for watching the fireworks at night. The spa is not yet finished, but I believe it will be opening very soon. The Irish Bar called Frankie Farrells on site was great to return to at the end of a very tiring, but enjoyable day out at the parks for a drink and something to eat. They did really good meals and the breakfasts were good.

The shopping outlet next door was very handy, and Walmart was only 5 minutes drive away. If you have a laptop, remember to take an ethernet cable with you and you will be able to use free fast speed broadband access in your apartment. The reception do have cables to use, but had run out of them when we were there.

All in all, we were pleased with the location and would stay there again.

Cool thanks very much :) enjoy your trip. Yer I've tried trip advisor, the reviews seem to be good!

excellent! sounds really good there. I think when we were in Florida last time, we stayed at the comfort in in LBV, we used the shopping outlet a lot! Thanks for the tip about the cables... will bare that in mind! :)

I've been looking into this hotel as well. I'm happy to see someone has stayed there recently and had an enjoyable experience. This is a timeshare property, right? gkjones, was there alot of pressure to listen to their presentation or are you an owner? We really do not want to spend our vacation time doing hardsell meetings but this hotel looks nice for what my family needs.

We weren't aware it was a timeshare property when we found and booked it from the owner on a holiday rental website. We did realise when we were talking to the concierge, he suggested we go along to the 'presentation' if we were at a loose end, at the Celebrity Resort. We told him we were not interested in buying one, he said there was no obligation, and we could have $100 debit card for petrol for just attending. We were due to go down to the Keys for a few days, so we decided it would be worth it. When we arrived we told the sales person, we were not really interested in buying, but would listen to the presentation anyway. He seemed to realise he would not be getting a sale from us, and to be honest, we didn't get any pressure, and it was pretty interesting.

We felt a bit guilty though, and would probably not attend another one in the future!

My advice would be to just decline the invitation if you don't feel like wasting an hour and a half of your time. But there was definitely no pressure from the concierge or the saleman.

Thanks for your response gkjones. Our vacations seem to be planned minute by minute so we really wouldn't have time for something like that. Knowing the pressure is low key makes this hotel seem even more inviting. Thanks again for your report.

thank you for the response on feedback of this resort...we just booked a 3 bedroom 2 bath this afternoon for this week coming.....can't wait...disney here we come:cool1: :yay:

I just posted my review.

As far as the ethernet cables are concerned, we were able to get one, but I think I heard one of the staff tell someone when the whole place is opened that they will have wireless availability then.

Also, I didn't realize it was a timeshare property until we were there. We were never approached about a presentation. I saw a sign and a desk for guests to inquire, but we never heard from anyone. So, no pressures.

We stayed at the LBV Resort Village last summer and loved it. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

We had a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom unit, very spacious with all the amenities you need. Master suite was huge and plenty of storage too. There was a king bed in the master suite another in the second bedroom and 2 twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, also a double sleeper sofa in the lounge. The living area is open plan with the dining area and kitchen and has either a patio or a balcony off.

My only real criticism would be the noise from the pool, we stayed over a weekend when there was a timeshare promotion going on and some families had arrived to just use the resort as a cheap party venue for the weekend and stayed out by the pool most of the night. As we were close to it we didn't get much sleep.

The main pool isn't finished yet so the small pool could get very crowded and we did find parking a bit of a problem on a few evenings. It will be a lovely resort when it's complete.

thanks for all your replies, and acjsmom your review was very helpful thankyou! Sounds like we're going to get a nice resort, which is always good!!
