Has anyone stayed at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel?

We are thinking about going mid-April (crazy, I know!!!) and this is the only hotel left with any rooms. It appeals to me because it is not too far from the entrance....and it's fairly inexpensive...but that's also what scares me too! I am hoping it is not a dive! Any opinions from those who have ventured to lay their wee little heads upon their beds???

My mom and dad are there right now. They got a room last minute for fairly cheap as well, through AAA I believe. If I talk with them today, I will try to remember to ask them what they think. :goodvibes

I stayed there for four nights back in November. It is pretty close to the entrance although after a full day at the parks it gets kinda hard to walk back but we made it. The employees are very nice and the hotel is quiet. There is a fridge in all the rooms i think and some rooms have microwaves. The only thing I did not like about it was that the sliding door in our room had a very crappy lock and you could open it a little without unlocking it. I felt that it was not secure. However, the patio is fenced in. But if you are scared about the security of the door, you should get a room on the second floor as it has a balcony. I also did not like how there are gaps between the ground and the doors. We put towels on the floor to cover the gap.

Hi... we have stayed there twice before - once for 9 nights straight. We thought it was great for the price - $60 a night - the walk is short to Disneyland, there are plenty of dining options very close, as well as a well stocked shop inside the hotel.

The rooms are basic, although included a fridge. The bathrooms are huge, and also include a large vanity counter area outside the bathroom which is fantastic for getting a few people ready at once.

The pool area is huge, and there are nice gardens throughout. If you get a nice person on check in you could perhaps try asking for a more modern room (we stayed in 2 completely different styled rooms) but basically if you're not going to be in the room much, it's a bargain buy. The rooms were clean (although one did smell a little musty) and the room service attendants were great.

Let me know if you want any more information, hope this was helpful!

Have a fun trip! :cheer2:

Haven't stayed there myself, but a bunch of people from here have and like it just fine. It seems to fall under the "plain, but reasonably clean" category most of the time. For more reviews, you can go to tripadvisor.com and check it there.

I just checked in with them.... and they said basically the same thing that everyone else has. It is kind of plain, just a basic hotel. But it was clean. It is an older hotel, but she had said that it looked like fairly new carpet in their room. She had also said in comparison to the other hotels around, this one looked much older and a little dated. But overall they were very happy with the place for getting it at such a bargain price and would stay there again.

HTH! :goodvibes
