Has Anyone Slept Four Adults In A Studio at SSR

I've got a trip planned for November, and I'd really like to be able to do a 1 bedroom, but I can't justify it since it will not be any more of my immediate family. I am taking my mom, aunt, and sister. I think we'd be more comfortable in a one bedroom, but we also aren't going to be in the room much. Do you think we can handle the studio?

Also, my sister pointed out to me, and I'm not sure if she did so because she is sleeping with me or not, but she said that I am paying for the room, so I should be the one who gets to sleep in the regular bed. What do you think? My mom and aunt are in their 50s, my sister and I are in our 30s.

Well I could do it but I am sure you will get alot of people that will say no...I think it depends on the personalities of people involved.

You could think about a studio at OKW to get the two queens in the room and then not have to deal with the sofa bed issue.

I think four adults in a studio or one bedroom is really too much. Even with the one bedroom you still have two adults sharing the sleeper sofa. I know we had three adults and one 11 yr old sharing a one bedroom at SSR and we felt very crowded.

Unless you want to try a studio at OKW - you have two queen beds (no sleeper) and a larger bathroom there.

I've done the 4 (all women) in a studio at OKW and it is crowded. The trip was for a special event at WDW so we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the room.

Now, though, doesn't matter what we're going down for, we go for a 1 BR. Love the extra space.

No, but I have had 4 adults in a regular hotel room. Yes, it will be crowded, but so what, as long as you are only going to use the room for sleeping and daily hygeine. Plus, you are all women which will make it much easier. I think it would really depend on the modesty level of the group going and if you are going to be in the room for more than sleeping and hygiene.

Another point to consider is that the studio's sofa bed is just full size. Will whoever sleeps on the sofa bed be comfortable sharing something the size of a double bed? The sofa bed in the 1BR is queen size so the 1BR gives you a bigger bed and a larger sofa bed.

I'd vote for two studios. Two adults (not married) sharing any bed is not my idea of fun. And I'd book at OKW to give everyone a real bed.

And I can't get the math to work for me: 4 women + 1 bathroom = :scared1:

Just MHO. :)

I have had 4 adults in a studio on a few occassions. But we spend almost no time in the room. It is just a place to change clothes, take a shower and sleep. If you are the type who likes to relax then I would get 2 studios.

The sofa beds are not that comfortable if you weigh more than 50 pounds. I think I still have the bar marks.:lmao:

We have done four adults in a studio several times. SSR, BWV, and VWL. Me, DW, DSIL, and DMIL, but only for 3 day or less trips. Pretty crowded but manageable since we only are in our rooms to sleep and daily hygene.

I would try it in OKW, wouldn't do it anywhere else. It's even fewer points there.
Bobbi:)

Even though the studios at OKW are bigger, I would opt for SSR w/your group because I think it would be nice to fold up the other bed and use it as a couch when no one is sleeping, plus the pull out sofas at SSR are extremely comfy-they are a new type that don't have the springs and are very nice. Just going back and reading some of the other responses and in response to MermaidJan, the SSR sofa beds don't have the bars-at least not from what I could tell....

We stayed at SSR in a studio, this past November, and our sofa bed was the old kind and had the bars. My DD13 slept on it for 5 days and complained the whole time.

There were only only 3 of us. Me, DH and DD13 and I swore I wouldn't do that again. Not enough space or privacy.

Wow, I'm glad someone else chimed in about this. We stayed in a 1 bedroom when we were there in Nov and I just assumed that the studios would have the same kind of sofa beds.

When you have more than 2 adults in a DVC resort, do you have to pay the extra fee?? Thanks!

I wonder why Saratoga would have one of the old pullouts. I have had 5 stays at SSR and have had the new pullouts in both the two bedrooms and the studios :confused3

I am in my 50's and I know I would not be comfortable sleeping on a full size sofa bed with another person, especially if you get one of the older models with broken down springs. It is hard to have fun, if you haven't slept well all night. Could Mom and Aunt pitch in some money so you could rent enough points to get 2 studios? I would really try to get more space. DH and I spent one night in a studio at BCV with 2 grandkids in November and we hardly had space to move with the sofa bed out. For some reason, that room seemed really small. We had to put the coffee table between the bed and sofa at night which made it very difficult for anyone needing to get up during the night. You also need space for clothes, cosmetic items, etc. for 4 women. If you absolutely have to put 4 in a studio, I would go for OKW for the 2 queen beds.

No, you can put in as many adults in the villa as the accommodation capacity as defined by Disney. No extra charge.

I do have to agree that mom & Aunt should be the ones who get the bed just out of respect for elders-but I'm kind of traditional like that. -It really depends on your relationship w/your mom and her back etc-good luck deciding.;) (BTW, I'm pretty sure the sofa bed is a queen size)

Two studios is not an option. I'm leaving it up to my party. So far, they are whatever. I'm telling them to make the decision. Unless soemone is giving away points, we are staying in either a studio at OKW or SSR.
