Hi, new here and we are planning our first trip for September.

I have read people shipping boxes to the resorts for their arrival and just wondering if anyone from Canada has done this.

We wil have 2 kids in diapers and this would be quite a load off if I could ship this to the resort before our arrival.

I've done it, but only with items already in the states. I placed an order with disneyshopping.com to ship to the resort when we were going to be arriving. I bought souvernirs, t-shirts and gifts cheap, and got free shipping too! It's way too expensive to have that stuff shipped to Canada.

I don't know how you would fare shipping diapers and such since customs will likely want to inspect boxes and charge duty and such when it crosses the border. Is there any way you can take a trip over the border or have someone take it over and mail it from there to Disney? Just a suggestion.

Sorry, I know it's not much help.

I would look into a grocery delivery service as well. Shipping to the US prices are outrageous. Also diapers are cheaper in the states to begin with. I think most of the delivery services have about a $50 minimum but wouldn't be too hard with just diapers, drinks and a few snacks.

I agree that it would be really expensive to ship from Canada as well as slow due to customs.

Try target.com or another US store. This way you can purchase diapers and drinks and snacks or whatever you see that you might need.

I'm going to do this next time for sure.

I saw some good buys on the disney outlet store this weekend. Gosh did I want to buy! How many days does it take to ship to resorts. I am going Oct 30 -Nov 14, 06. If I saw something on the site a couple of days before I left Canada, would it be shipped to my hotel in time?

Thank you

I usually ordered it 1 1/2 to 2 weeks before the trip and then in the address field (or name field) I put "arriving xx/xx/06" that way when the hotel gets it they put it aside in the luggage room until you check in and then they will deliver it to your room for you. Better for it to arrive a little early than too late.

I've done this twice now, once at Disney and once in Michigan and it worked perfectly and not just from disneyshopping.com either. Just remember though that whatever you buy beforehand means you have less duty-free allowance to spend while you're there!!

Will you have a vehicle when you are there? If so,we go to Walmart and get food and diapers. It's not far from WDW.

I have a kid in Diapers too and it was our experience that they space used to cary diapers down is perfect for soviniers on the way back. We buy our diapers from a Dipaer Depot and they come vacum packed so they are not too bulky.

When we went for a long trip we took most of what we needed and then stopped at Walmart and bought enough to last the trip.
