LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Jan. 22, 2008 -- Disney recently received two prestigious awards for a television commercial portraying an African American boy who uses sign language to tell his deaf grandfather about his visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. The touching commercial from advertising agency, Carol H. Williams, specializing in the African American market, and supported by Disney's Yellow Shoes creative group was voted number one in the Top 20 Most-Liked New TV Spots of 2007 from Advertising Age. The spot was also honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award for a Television Commercial by the Media Access Association, which recognizes those in the entertainment industry who accurately portray people with disabilities to accelerate public awareness and understanding.
