My sister likes the big bear in the blue house and we are going to see the show this year in December. Can anyone tell me what the show is and who is in it. I would also like to know where the wheelchair area is and is there a meet and greet for the bear. Thanks

The Bear in the Big Blue House show is very nice. My DD has seen it everytime we have gone to WDW. Last December, she was pulled up in front of the audience to "growl like a gorilla" by Jamie the host of the show.

It is the Bear and the whole crew (including Luna), Stanley and Dennis the goldfish and Rolie Poly Olie and his crew. It is a great show. Everyone sits on the floor, so wheelchairs should be no problem.

I do not remember a meet and greet with any of the Characters from the show.

Have fun!!

Hi,
My daughter loves bear and this show. It has Bear in the Big Blue House and all his friends, Stanley, Rollie Pollie Olie, and pooh and friends. The show lasts about 25 minutes. There is no meet and greet for bear. We asked about this and were told he is just too big for this kind of interaction, rather disappointing for the kids. I think the wheelchair area is in the back. It is a big theater and there are areas in the back with a couple of benches otherwise you sit on the floor. The show is worth it if they like these characters.

We saw the show last October and it was great. No one has mentioned that Pooh and Friends from the book of Pooh were also there. DD is in a wheelchair and there is space on the back row that is marked off. We were on the end of a row and the girl from the show came by and talked to her. We will be doing the show again this year.

I agree with everyone else; this is a fun show. My kids (3 and 1) loved it, even though they were only familiar with Bear.

The wheelchair area being at the back is a good thing. Our family sat up toward the front and we could hardly see the smaller characters as the stage was pretty high. Next time we'll sit further back, if possible.

Have fun!

I was just at the Bear show last week. The wheelchair area is on the farthest right hand side if you are facing the stage...so you are farthest right and in the very back row (unless you leave the wheelchair and get down on the floor somewhere I guess). Actually the view was not bad at all. Except for bear the characters seem pretty low to the stage and somewhat hard to see - they're short. I'd agree that the view might be better sitting halfway to all the way back rather than closer to the front. We hit a 3 p.m. show and it was amazing how tired most of the kids were - not nearly the dancing and excitement I remember when taking DS #1 there 3 years ago. Also there is an exit directly behind the wheelchair section so when it is over everyone comes right at you!

We have seen this show an obscene number of times, from every vantage point. It is MUCH better from further back. The characters are big enough to see from the back. Bear's friends (Ojo, Tutter, etc) can not be seen from the front. Also, I personally thought Bear's um, fur, needed a good dry cleaning when we were sitting up front. From the back this isn't noticable. This is a great show and a must see whenever we are in MGM!

Enjoy!

Cindy

Thanks for the information. I am sure my sister is going to like the show. We are use to sitting in the back. Muppets has there seating in the back as well. My sister likes to hug the characters but I guess if he is taller than Barney then I can see there point.
