Has anyone seen Phantom in NYC?

DD14 is totally addicted and I am toying with the idea of a combined Bday/Christmas(her bday is 12/17) trip to see it on Broadway, but it's a HUGE trip and I'd hate to be disappointed. I doubt it's all hype, but...

Go! It's amazing. Hubby got us 6th row center for our anniversary trip and it was worth every penny. When the organ plays in the beginning your whole body shakes for the sound!

I started tearing up too. It was the best "date" we have ever had.

I have seen it twice and LOVE it....first show we were front row center....it was WONDERFUL! Next time we were about in the 10th row and it was every bit as good from there!!! Go, you won't be disappointed! Buy your tickets early so you can get the best seats!

yes it was wonderful. I would guess the best place to see it as the theatre is designed for the show.

No, but I saw phamton on the Universal board.

I saw it in Canada. I think I'm the only person on the planet who wasn't overwhelmed. Hope you enjoy it!

You need to do this! It is an amazing experience!

I saw it about 10 years ago in Louisville. My mom took my brother and I and we all loved it. I'm sure it would be even better on Broadway.

My DH and I saw it in NYC many years ago and it was the best. We now see it in Atlanta and while it's still great, it's not the same as in NYC. Incredible, you won't be disappointed.

My parents saw it in NYC and absolutely loved it. I've only seen it in Boston.

My mother took me to see Phantom last year for my birthday. I was really excited because I enjoy the music from the show, but... we both hated it!!! We found it dark, boring, and the fact that the people on either side of us kept falling asleep (the girl next to my mom kept falling into her shoulder) didn't help.
