Has anyone run a Zoom meeting from on property?

Our travel plans keep getting moved. We live in a state that still has Florida on a travel restriction list (meaning 14 days no leaving the house even to exercise post travel). Our latest possible reschedule dates involve an evening I'm supposed to be running a 3 hr meeting on Zoom. Given the uncertainty and challenge juggling everything, I'm considering just doing it from the hotel if we are able to go. We're probably at Art of Animation or wherever they put us if that doesn't open in early November. Anybody tested Zoom at the resort? Thanks.

This may be tougher in the evening The Wi-Fi at the resorts are busiest in the evening when everyone is back at the resort due to the parks closing earlier this fall. Steaming TV, Zooming and downloading/uploading videos/pictures.

Are you just "hosting" or do you also need more complex presentation / screen sharing bandwidth?

I’ve been twice down to WDW this summer and both times, I had over a dozen Teams meetings with no issues EXCEPT for at Polynesian, where the wifi is often spotty (as PP said) in the evenings and breakfast times.

THIS! I even notice while working from home that when someone tries to share video from their camera, it just slows everything down. I have an ethernet connection and Google Fiber at home. Screen sharing isn't nearly as bad. Video is the killer.

Teams worked great at Poly and BLT for me.

Trying to position the camera so no one could tell where I was.... now THAT was a challenge. 😎
I did Teams last month from Pop for a Professional Development session. I used a virtual background, so no one knew where I was. I was intending to do that again in November, but I think we are cancelling that trip.

You could check with the Resort Business Center to see if they have more than a wifi connection if your worried your room wifi has a poor connection.

I was in PCR room #0121 last year was non-existent compared to the public areas. And when at BWV room #1070 had excellent wifi connection.

I'm sure you'll probably do a test trial, but I would have a plan B, too.

Good luck.

My kids did zoom for school with no problem at Pop. Even went over to Rivera one day and it worked fine. The problem will come when everyone start going to the resorts for getaways while during business/school work. At some point I will assume Wifi will slow down. We traveled right when school was starting up and from the looks of things it is starting to pick up in Disney as of now. Also we were considering going back in December while during some school work from the hotel but starting to rethink it because it because of the influx of crowds and stability of wifi with the increase of crowds.
