Has anyone ridden Velocicoaster with 7 year old?

The seat is molded with a substantial cone between the legs. The bar is a robust piece of metal with a nice large pad that smoothly presses down on the top of the thighs. There are no clicks - it just presses down until you’re secure. So - no unnecessary wiggle room. That said, there certainly is a lot of air time!

If you love coasters, this one is worth the wait! If you’re on the fence, try Hagrid’s first. Hagrid’s is just as fun, but a little less scary/extreme. Most of our family prefers Hagrid’s, but we all loved Velocicoaster too!

Our daughter was around your daughter's age when she rode the Demon (twisty upside coaster near us). She was taller than the minimum and slight of build. She got on, rode it and when the ride was over, got out without the ride guy unlocking her. I nearly soiled myself. what are the chances she would actually shimmy out that way during the ride? Highly unlikely, but After that, I had her try to get out of the test seats until she beefed up a bit.

So I just rode it twice. It’s so, so great! The airtime is unbelievable. So much of it! Definitely more intense than El Toro, maybe more comparable to Kingda Ka, though it doesn’t go nearly as fast.

Hi! So after riding it several times, I actually thought it was less intense than El Toro. There's something about that ride I just can't handle! I've been secretly glad it's been down all summer because my daughter would have made me ride it with her. But I really really loved Vcoaster.

Hi! We are heading to our first real Universal vaca this summer. We are of course excited for Velocicoaster! My 7 year old, thrill seeker, daughter meets the height requirement but she's barely 50 pounds! Tall and skinny. It will likely be her first upside down coaster since we are hitting Universal before Disney. I don't really think there's a chance she might slip out :rotfl2:but I heard you get a lot of air time and there being no shoulder restraints and all....I'd love to get a first hand experience from someone who rode with a young child and how it went. Thanks!
My 8 year old is the same way, tall and very skinny. He LOVES rollercoasters and was so excited to ride velocicoaster. When they did the seat checks, they really pushed on his lap pad and he was in there VERY tight. You do get a lot of air time and it's very fast but he said he never felt unsecure. Just make sure that they push down on the lap pad, we rode it the first day of AP previews so I think they were being extra precautious.

I just commented an update! We went and she rode three time! We all loved it!

So glad she liked it! My 8 year old is slightly above average height but ridiculously skinny (to the point he can only wear slim pants and those sometime fall off him) and he was very tightly clicked into restraint to the point he was complaining it was pinching his *** (it wasn't it was just snug). Anyway, he loved the ride and had no issues. I think just by how light he is and how tight he was secured he got a lot less air time than the rest of us but he was absolutely fine.

She would hate me if I pulled the mom arm across her chest the whole time! 😂
I just found this thread and was rolling at this comment!! I can totally relate! That was me with my very young daughter at the time on the Phoenix at Knoebel’s. She got so much air on that ride and just a lap bar. Lol so the ‘mom arm’ kept going across her, only for her to push it away each time. Glad to hear your daughter loved Velocicoaster. We went on it for the first time (first visit to Universal) last week and absolutely loved it!!! So smooth!

Let’s just say, when my kid was a small kid and was barely tall enough to ride RRR, she did. I saw some, what I thought were small kids, go on the ride. If your kid is tall enough, I’d let her or him ride. There are daredevil kids like mine, that rode coasters as soon as they were tall enough.
