Has anyone rented an RV locally?

We're planning a trip for late August 2011 and are torn between the Fort Wilderness Cabins and renting an RV locally and having it set up on a campsite for us. Anyone have any experience with a local rental company? We love Fort Wilderness but haven't stayed there for many years, and we'd love for our girls to experience the Fort. We know it will be hotter than blazes in August and part of the consideration is having a regular air conditioner in the cabins. We'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer! :)

This might come as a surprise to some of the regulars on the camping board, but my beloved Buddymobile is no longer. So we're renting for a while. I've reserved a class C from Camping World in Kissimmee for Feb. Rates were very competitive and lots of choices. It's also located very close to the Fort.

We've rented twice from Camp At The Fort. The fifth wheel camper is brand new and very nice. We enjoyed it a lot, especially this past week when the weather was freezing! We were glad not to be in a pop-up!

We rented a Class C in June of '98. My mom did all the rental planning back then, so I'm not sure who she rented from. I can see if she remembers or has records of it if you'd like.

We flew into Orlando and were picked up at the airport by the owner of the company. He went through the whole MH with us (well, with my brother) and off we went. We made a stop at a grocery store and drove to the Fort. At the end of the trip, we met him at the airport and off we went again.

It was great! That was June, and I don't remember having any issues with being too hot. And we had 6 people in the RV!

He is great to work with and has both a 5h wheel and a pop-up.
There is a free GC with the 5th wheel.
