Has anyone recently ventured into Atlantic Dance Hall?

Everytime I go to Disney...I keep saying I'm going to check this place out! Well...this trip I am going to do just that!...LOL I will be at the Beach Club so it will be close.

Can anyone tell me anything about it. What kind of music are we talking about? Is there a cover charge? Hours of operation....is there food or just drinks...? (age is no issue..as we are 40somethings...

Any info would be appreciated.

I believe I read that it is now used only for large groups. They rent the place out for the nite. Not open to the public. That was a few months ago so maybe something has changed.

I was at BWI a couple weeks ago and asked the same question. I had heard about Atlantic Dance Club, but had never been inside the building. Here is what I found.

Let me begin by saying the building is BEAUTIFUL. It is art deco and simiply amazing. There is a stage which a band would fit on, but there was a DJ when we went. It is open every evening, except Sunday and Monday. The DJ will play whatever you request. I guess they used to have a theme to the music, but not anymore. We did not have to pay a cover charge and it appeared they only served drinks. I didn't see any food items listed anywhere. Thre were only a few people inside. It felt as if we were alone in the big room. We did spend a little time on the back porch sitting at a table, drinking our drinks, and watching the activity on the BW. We weill definitely be going back.

I asked the server who said they do reserve the room for wedding receptions and other functions, but not too often. I couldn't help but thinking it would be a great place for a formal function of that sort. Even a prom would be great in that space.
