Has anyone purchased the Mickey head fans / programs??

I received a quote yesterday for the Mickey head fan / program from Shelly at Impressions. I almost fell out of my chair! For 25 of them they cost more than $22 each!
Any alternative ideas out there from you creative ladies??

It should be embossed in real gold leaf for that price! I have heard that there is some sort of licensing fee that she has to charge for custom Disney items, but that is an awful lot of $$.

I believe DisneyPrincessBelle made some for her upcoming wedding. She may be able to help you.

I think someone mentioned making the head themselves and then lining up the text on paper through trial and error before printing and cutting them out.

We were going ot fo the fams thru Impressions, but were shocked by the final price- our quoted price tripled when the assembly charges, delivery, shipping, and other fees were added!
If you do make them yourself, I always thought it would be nice to put a bow at the top between the ears for a "Minnie Fan"- we even brought it up to Shelly. You could have Minnie & Mickey fans!
I hope everythign works out.

How large are these fans? I'm also interested in making them myself, but I haven't put much time into it yet. I just have a regular sized printer, so 8.5"x11" paper is probably what I'm limited to using.

Yes I made them. Really wasnt that difficult. Just a matter of lining everything up. Here is a pic of mine. It's just a rough one. I'm changing the wording.

Sure. PM me your email address and I will send you the word doc. I'll leave on my info. Would be easier for you to just edit. I got the sticks at Hobby Lobby. I discovered using a xcto knife around plates was the easiest way to cut it out smooth looking.

I have to scan it again. Will take a bit. I'll let you know when I have it finished. I forgot that I just typed up the things for each section, taped them on, and made a copy on cardstock.

My mom is in the process of making ours. I'll try to post a picture when she's done, but it might be a little while since we just found the craft sticks that are the right shape and size online today.

I'm feeling pretty stupid right now everyone. I thought I had the Mickey head with all the wording in a Word Doc. I didn't. I had made up each section and copy and pasted it to the proper section on the mickey head. I have been working this afternoon to try and get the sample i have to scan. It's being a royal pain! As soon as I get that done. I will send the templates. Sorry for the delay.
