Has anyone proposed on the ship? Who did you have to get into contact with? And how did it go??

Any assistance will greatly appreciated. :confused3

We had a couple beside us do this on our Sept. 04 cruise. They had the captain come by and was part of it. Don't know how they set it up, but I would call the DCL line first. It may be something that you arrange with guest services once you are on board.

Another consideration would be to book a concierge level room (Cat. 1, 2, or 3). You could contact the concierge service ahead of time, and based on my experience, they will do anything you need.

First welcome to the board, and congrats to your soon to be engagement!! Yes, I would also recommend a special suite for this event, or at least a verandah :) I would call and maybe see if you can have Mickey part of it or something? that would be very memorable! I hope my bf proposes on our next cruise!!! how romantic!! She is obviously very lucky to have a great guy that puts the thought and planning into this very special moment in your life!! Again, Congrats. I am sure tons of people will help with their thoughts and info!! Check into the REAS: Romantic deal with couples massage, basket filled with goodies, and turndown service with rose petals :)!!!

I absolutely love dolphins... in Dec. we went swimming with them in Cozumel (highly recommend) and my bf said later he would have liked to propose then knowing I've been wanting to do that for years, I was so excited, it was so much fun!! Maybe our next cruise :)!!!

OH THAT'S THE BEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD! That's the best way to propose ever! on TLC (The Learning Channel) "The Perfect Proposal" was on a few weeks ago and a guy proposed on the Disney Magic. I wonder if you went to the home page for TLC if you could find out how this guy did it. Maybe that would help you?

Good luck!

Great reading material :-) I am looking for someway to set it up, more so than ideas on what to do. A person to contact my TA or DCL themselves. Or do we have to wait until we board?

You may want to try DCL first and someone in the weddings department or the REAS department. They can get specialized and work out details for you.

I got married at WDW in 97'. we won't go into the outcome of that though :)...

I called and they send me a package of what to choose from, filled out 3 sheets of paper saying exactly what I wanted and faxed it back...that is all there was too it. Maybe they have similar things for what you would want. They had tons of sites they had to choose from, maybe you could consider those sites as a proposal site?

good luck!
