Has anyone part cancelled with Disney UK before?

Hi!
Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice as the terms and conditions of my holiday are not the easiest to digest :scared1:

We are booked to go to WDW in August with Disney UK and its looking like my DD17 might not be able to come. That would just leave me and DD7 still going. I've looked at the T&C's and it says in the event of a cancellation more than 56 days before the trip, I would just lose the deposit. Then it says that in the event of a part cancellation, on top of losing my deposit, my holiday would be recalculated based on the number of travellers still going.

So with my estimated reckoning, I should be able to cancel just my DD17 and the hol would be recalculated for just me and DD7 and I might be due some money back (can anyone confirm this?) But what I'm worried about is whether they would do it as a new booking because I booked during free dining and don't want to lose that.

Sorry if all that is as clear as mud  but if anyone has done this before, please could you give me some advice?

TIA

We had room and tickets booked with them and changed to flight inclusive they never charged us an amendment fee. The old Reservation was cancelled and the deposit put on to the new booking. We received a new reservation number too just ask them nicely and you should be fine, they may charge an under occupancy fee as your room will now be one adult less than before. So Just ring through and ask to speak to someone at Open Ride and explain the situation and they should be able to get you sorted out quickly.:surfweb: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Sorry to hear that your DD17 cannot make it...hope it all works out and just have to pay an amendment fee....

When we changed our booking they cancelled the original booking and made a new booking for us. They did apply the deposit from the first booking, but they went by current prices etc. so it did end up costing us more money Personally I don't understand why they couldn't just change the original booking, but I guess that way they couldn't charge us the extra!! :rolleyes1

oh no, I had a feeling they might do that which is why i'm worried. If they do it as a new booking I'm sure to lose my free dining and the prices now are way more than they were when I booked.
Arrrgghh!!!!

Wonder if I can get someone to fill her place if the worst comes to the worst :confused3

What if you just didn't say anything? Am I right that it's the park ticket that would go to waste? If you just paid as you would have, wouldn't her ticket be good for another trip if it's not activated?

Never thought of that actually. Thanks!
Anyhow it might just be that my DD17 can come after all :goodvibes nothing definite as of yet, but its looking good. I'm keeping everything crossed hoping for the best :hippie:
