Has anyone NEVER stayed at their home resort?

While we ponder purchasing a DVC membership, we were wondering how many people have NEVER stayed at their home resort? Sounds silly, I know, but I'll bet there are people out there who are part of this crowd!

We own at vb and ssr... We have stayed at ssr but never even seen what vb looked liked!!!

and have never stayed at OKW. I have stayed at the other 3: AKV-Jambo, BCV and BWV. I can't wait to stay at AKV-Kidani this summer!

Same here. However, we do plan on staying at VB. We purchased the points there to have the 8 - 11 month booking window, and plan on visiting often.

not yet...we always use out points at DL at the GCH.....next time we got to WDW we will. WE live an hr aways fro =m DL so it is easy to use our points there.

We bought SSR in 2004 ... and haven't yet stayed there. However, that will change later this year as we have a Treehouse reserved in December!

we own at bwv and do stay there, as well as others. however, we own at blt and obviously have not stayed there yet. we are eagerly awaiting our december trip there!!!! ironically, we are staying with developer points at ssr in august, booked prior to knowing about the early opening for blt!

We had never stayed at SSR until this past January. It wasn't our favorite but it really doesn't matter. Since buying our points in 2005 we have stayed at VB, OKW 3 times (we love it there, if not for the 15 year issue we would have bought there), BWV, AKV 3 times and SSR this last time.
I have never had a problem staying wherever we wanted at 7 months out so we aren't too worried about not being in Love with SSR. Also if that was all there was we wouldn't mind staying there. It is still WDW!!!

We are guilty too!! We own at SSR since 2005 but have never stayed there. We have stayed at AKV several times. Some day..........

Well, I can tell you that it took me 6 years of owning BCV before finally staying here last summer - not because we did not want to. It just sort of worked out this way for different reasons for each vacation.

We've owned at SSR since 2005, and will be staying there for the first time in April. Like AnnaS, it wasn't that we didn't want to stay there, just different circumstances had us staying elsewhere. We're really looking forward to trying out our home!

We've only had one vacation since buying SSR, so it's not saying much that we hadn't stayed there. But, there is no SSR in sight in our long term planning, which right now goes to 2011.

I bought into OKW 'way back when' and have stayed there numerous times... until they began building more resorts. Now I stay at either a 'new' resort to check it out, or a resort convenient to a specific purpose (i.e. BCV or BWV for F&W Festival, or VWL for a romantic getaway). Occasionally I'll stay at OKW for nostalgic purposes, or to save on points as that resort seems to be 'cheapest.'
