I wouldnt bank on it! We tried amending our booking to remove the hotel booking as we were going to book direct with disney to get the free dining plan - by the time they finished adding their charges we would have paid for the dining price ourselves.

They charge £25 per person amendment fee or to cancel booking you would lose your deposit.

Give them a ring to find out but i wouldnt hold your breath.

Could alwlays recope your loses by making sure you buy your spending money when the £ is really strong :teeth:

Just a quick question. If you had checked and it was now more expensive, would you be phoning them and offering to pay the extra? :confused3

Just wondered what with the reports that less brits are booking up to go next year,if the prices are going to drop significantly it may have saved some of us folks some money, :rotfl:

We did get a reduction from Virgin a few years ago - we booked online for 2 adult, a teen and a child. But after I booked I worked out that it would be cheaper to make the teen an adult becasue the online discount for an adult was more then the teen discount. I emailed VH and they changed the booking and sent out a new invoice :)

If you don't ask you won't get - they can only say no :)

I've checked my flight and although flight prices have gone up slightly they have introduced a child discount of £180.

I will be phoning to try and get the discount. It will be cheaper for me to pay £25/person and change our booking to the same plane to get the discount.

If I can get away with only re-booking the children we would make a reasonable saving.

It worked out £10 more expensive to change so we'll leave it be ;) I just find it strange that the child price is now half what we've booked and adult prices have reduced £10 each ;) but the online discount is way less ;) Lesson learned don't look once we've booked:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I saved £85 by changing ahd that included changing to a weekend flight thus being hit by a weekend supplement. I dont book with Virgin Holidays so dont get their online-discount but get 10% discount through my TA instead.

Although the saving isn't huge it does mean we need to take a couple of days less holidays which is good.

I think the lesson might be not to rush into booking as soon as the flights become available unless you need to travel on a certain day - I tried to change to fly from Glasgow but there were no economy seats left for 30th June - hopefully this means that this is a success and they'll have more flights from Glasgow in the future.
