Has anyone made raffle tickets before?

A lots of folks around my neighborhood are really into Twilight and are thinking about having a Twilight Movie Night at our local Knights of Columbus Hall.

My Mom is friends with the women who want to put on the Twilight Movie Night and I've decided that I want to help plan the party because I like Twilight, too.

If the party gets thrown, we may hold raffles throughout the night.

I would really love to get someone here to make me custom Twilight raffle ticket designs and I have found preforated raffle ticket paper online that you can buy from a few websites, but I'm not sure how to print them.

On some of the websites that I've visited, they talk about some software to create your raffle ticket, but I won't need that if I have a custom design made.

Does anyone here have any experience with printing your own raffle tickets or making your own using regular cardstock?

I'm just not sure how to print the design out on the sheets of preforated raffle ticket paper and I would hate to mess up or buy the paper and find out that I can't make my own.

I don't quite understand throwing a raffle for people to come. So are you going to sell tickets and only certain ones get to come? Also is this to raise money for an orgainization or just to pay for the use of the building?

The way I understand it from my Mom explaining it and seeing a ticket from a funtion that my she went to is this.. For the people who want to attend the party they will have to buy a $1 [not sure of the actual ticket cost] ticket either beforehand or at the door to be allowed into the party. Each ticket has a stub on one side [like a movie ticket] that has lines for the person to with their contact info on. The ticket stubs will then be used for giving out door prizes and such throughout the night.

Uhm, I'm not really sure what the Knights of Columbus is about, from what I gather the Knights of Columbus is a type of "brotherhood" Catholic fraternal service organization. Yeah, I really have no idea what it is.. The proceeds from the party will go to our local Knights of Columbus, though.

I just didn't want to help make something that is for personal gain. As long as the proceeds are going to door prizes, paying for the event or for a worthy organization...here is a ticket that I designed. I have no idea how to print on pre-printed tickets. To use this maybe you could get one of those number stamps where you can change the numbers and stamp the back of each ticket with a different number. Then place the same numbers in a hat/bowl/box and call out the numbers as they are drawn. Then you wouldn't have to worry about filling out information and perforations...

I could play with this if you like it and can give me a better idea of what you want.

I deleted the ticket from my photobucket to free up the space, but can email it to you if you send me a pm with your email address.

Oh, I like that ticket!! I will show it to my Mom when she gets home from work to see what she thinks. Then we'll have to go over my ideas with the other women to see what they think. I'm not sure when we will have the party, everything is up in the air right now, but I can PM you when I find out all the details. I just like being prepared and planning, so that's why I'm planning the activities, decorations, and eveything now without even knowning if the party will actually happen.

Thank you for designing the ticket.
