DH and I are wondering if we made the right choice in CBR...I don't even know if anything else is available for our days,, just stirring up troube;) I know we will be charged a $50 fee for making a change, but B4 I call and bother a CM and risk goofing up our current pkg., I was wondering if anyone else has switched resorts under their 45 day mark.

I am also wondering about this. Will we be charged the $50 fee even if the resort
we requested wasn't available and now it is? Will CRO charge the fee if the dates are the same? I am scared to try--what if they mess up our ressie?
:bounce:

I didn't even think about the unavailability issue....but I don't have it notated on our ressie either...I think the fee will be charged regardless, or it may depend upon the resort. I have had that mentioned to me in the pat, that each resort can decide if it wants to implement a fee or not. I was hoping that since we were looking to upgrade to a delux that it would not be too much of an issue, but like you, I am afraid that if I even call and ask our current ressie may get goofed up, and we will be celebrating DS b-day...I sure don't want to mess that up! Anyone else?

We upgraded at Yacht Club from waterview to conceirge. I guess it was done before the 45 day window, because we weren't charged an extra $50. It didn't seem to be a problem. But I know what you mean about CRO messing up:rolleyes: . Let us know what you decide.:D

We are going Jul 25 and just upgraded to concierge service today. Same resort, same dates. We did pay a price increase, but a $50 fee was never mentioned to me. We did book the FTP with the Disney Club, I don't know if that makes a difference.

good luck

your changes reflect an increase in price from what you previously booked.

For example: you booked AKL - savannah view and then added the Silver Plan - then upgraded to concierge...no $50 change fee.

But if you needed to change from AKL to one the moderates or the All-Stars then you would be charged the $50 change fee.

I've toyed with the idea of changing too. I'm not going until October so I still have time.

We too are staying at CBR. I keep doubting the decision, and even wrote it IN INK, in my passporter, so I guess it is prob. a sign that I should stay with my first decision.

Good luck deciding:D

Mady/Sophiemom: May I ask why you are on the fence about CBR? For us it is the bus/time concerns, we know we can rent a car, but that will put it pretty close to the difference in an upgrade...I don't know, decisions, decisions...I need to just stop trying to maneuvere around:rolleyes: I just never know when our next trip is going to be and try to do it up as best we can and the FTP price is great for a deluxe....but in reality I better save the money, but TIME is money and if the busses are taking up a big chunk of our vaca. time....HELP!

The bus/transportation is exactly my concern. I don't want to rent a car.

We stayed at CSR last trip, and the busses were great. I'm hoping for the same. Ijust keep thinking that we hear the bad, but not much of the hundred, and hundreds of good experiences.

The pictures of CBR, makes me excited to go there. It looks so relaxing.

Good Luck:D

I changed my FTP dates, but not my resort. I was actually told by the CM that I could not change the resort, but could only make changes within the same resort (dates, room category, etc.).

I am glad to see that there are other people out there "just like me" (haha, not that that is a GOOD THING!!). I have stayed at WDW five times since May 2000 and all five times were at the AS resorts. When FTP came out, I booked there for a "cheap" vacation...ha! Then I decided, well maybe we should try something different and switched to CBR...but oh no, didn't stop there, then I changed the view! After all of that DH says, this is probably one of the only times that we could stay at a Deluxe without strapping our budget....soooooo.....Wilderness Lodge (standard view) here we come! I haven't changed my ressie in almost two weeks, so I am sure the CM's there must think that something terrible has happened to me and I am thinking of calling and upgrading to concierge, just to let them know I am OK!!

Wanted to add a day (come in 1 day earlier). I can't do that AND stay at Movies too. I'll have to move to Music or Sports. I stayed at Music (jazz) 4 years ago, and wanted Movies that time. No interest in Sports at all. I DID buy my MNSSHP tickets today though. I really need to call back and take Music before it gets gone too. I did so want to stay at Movies this time, and hoped for my request of Dalmations to be granted too. Melanie

Talked to a VERY nice CM a few minutes ago, and we can upgrade to a deluxe, but we have decided to give CBR a chance. Actually, the transp. issues between CBR and WL are a toss up, from what I have read it seems like CSR is best rated for bus only transp. We should be looking into there, but for some reason DH does not care to stay there.
Twenty-Eight days 'till we get there!:)
p.s. CM said it's raining there right now:( but it just stopped raining here, and I'd rather be drenched at WDW than here!

I usually rent a car but when I was at CSR at the end of May I had to use the bus. I wasn't impressed but I chalked it up to it being a Sunday. So take every review of the busses with a grain of salt. It took 1/2 hr. for my bus to come at CSR and Epcot.

Many, many people take the busses at WDW and never have any problem. They don't take the time to write and say that everything worked the way it was supposed to.
