Has anyone made a PS for the same day?

Yup, it can be done so long as there is availability ;) I've only done same day for Blue Bayou (once) and Cafe Orleans a couple of times. Now I'm too obsessive to do it same day -- I make a PS the day I can :rotfl:

I have the priority seating phone number on my cell phone. So, when I have an un-expected trip into the parks I can make reservations. I have done this many times. I like Carnation Cafe for breakfast and the line always seems so long. But, with a phone call, I can bypass that line. Feels like a Carnation Cafe Fastpass:lmao:.:tink:

i have done PS on the same day, but never during the summer, i have also gone to the place i want to eat the day i arrived and have been able to get reservations sometimes, if you do it first thing when the park opens.

Yes, and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. When we visit during the Christmas season, it was our experience that PS' were booked up weeks-to-almost a month in advance. During slower months we didn't have a problem with a same-day booking.

So now I plan my PS 60 days in advance...just in case. ;)

I have not, but it is possible to do. I attempted to do it at Blue Bayou during a halloween month and weekend a few years back, but they didn't have anything for 2 days at the time. No biggie, and I'm actually glad it worked out that way (after reading some reviews, I see we didn't miss out on too much).

yes, sometimes it worked and others it didn't. We just gave it a try anyway. :)

Totally! I've done it even like 1 hour before we wanted to eat, even in the busy summer months. It's best to ask for avalibility or open spots, but it's in my cell and I've used it numerous times! :-) Have FUN!

I could have. But they had silly wait times for both restaurants I asked about...one was probably correct (I was standing right outside and could see the line), but the other is never crowded (PCH Grill), so we just walked over. They said there would be an hour before a reservation, but we walked in and joined the other, oh, 5 families in there.

Definitely, I have done it for BB and CO if it is available. I called in the morning on the day I was going to the park.

Me! I did it last week. I walked up at Cafe Orleans and was able to get the exact time we wanted. We also got in to Storytellers the same way.

I believe that the earliest you can get a PS is 1 hour from when you call. In June I called at 8:40am to try and get a PS at CC for 9:30am and was told the earliest they had was 9:40. It doesn't have anything to do with how crowded they are, they just require an hours notice for PSs.

I think Capt Silly is right Molly. I'm sure you could still have went right over and said "we have a PS in an hour, can we get in now?" and they would have seated you. :)
