Has anyone just toured the castle..

Several DISers have gone through the queue and not ridden, whether due to size or choice.

Yes, my 6 year old son. First time we did the normal line then used the child swap room, this way we saw everything. The second time we used the single rider line. You still pass through 80% of the castle, and were able to linger longer in the rooms where there is dialog.

In the regular line you may pass through too quickly to hear everything and people behind you get a little antsy if you stay to listen. In the single rider line people have no trouble just going around you if you are staying to listen to a whole bit.

Thanks for asking this! I'm a little afraid to ride, but I really want to see the castle. Does anyone know if the ride jerks you around? How is it with motion sickness? :confused3

The ride isn't really jerky per say, but it does move you around a lot and there are parts where it seems like are really following HP around flying.. I have to admit, I love the ride, but there are some parts to it that make me woozy... I just try to focus on something not moving (like my feet again) and then the feeling passes.

Is there a similar Disney ride you could compare it to? That would really help me decide. I want to ride it really bad, but I don't want to hurt myself. (I'm recovering from abdominal surgery. My surgeon says no rollercoasters or rides that jerk.)

Yes you can just walk through the ride. DH did not fit in the test seat so I walked through with him and our kids. There was a child swap exit probably 10-15 ft from where you get on the actual ride. If you like the books or movies I would at least do the walk through.

At peak hours, how busy is the single riders line?
I went over on Saturday around 4PM and standby was 75. I waited about 35 or so for single riders. Not really sure if this is peak or not since I haven't really been over to HP much since it opened.
