Has anyone here participated in the Y.E.S. program through Disney Youthgroups?

I am taking my Girl Scout troop to the World in June. We are participating in the Y.E.S. program through Disney Youthgroups. The other night, the girls picked which program they wanted to participate in and now I am getting a little nervous about the choice they made. I have posted on a few boards and it doesn't seem like either many do not participate in this program OR they don't frequent Disney boards! So, I need some advice if anyone out there can help me!

On that note, I am also looking for special things to do with my girls. Some have been to WDW before, but I have several that either have not ever been or were too young to remember (their current ages are 12 to 14). We are going to do a scavenger hunt (but would love to get my hands on the one that GS gives out in the MK). We can't do character dining this time (too $). Do you all have any suggestions??? Someone did tell me about the flag ceremony in MK at 5pm. Anything else?

Thanks so much in advance for your help!!!

The flag ceremony is neat if you have been to WDW many times and aren't trying to get as much done as possible...your girls probably would rather be in line for Space Mountain...

Terrific! Don't forget the Disney movie at Ft. Wildreness. It is free, and a few characters come to it and get the group singing. It may also be called the Chip and Dale sing along. As long as you are staying onsight, you can use the Disney transportation. I would suggest as a treat, travel to the Contemporary by monorail, then take the boat to Ft Wildeness. They sell popcorn, nachos and such during the movie and sing along. They have LARGE logs cut in half that they have for you to sit on.

Yes, I've participated in the Y.E.S. program. The first time we did it, our lesson was in the World Showcase at Epcot. The kids learned about different customs and got to talk to someone from Hong Kong. Last year it was about energy and they got to go underneath the Haunted Mansion and into Mickey's Philharmagic with no wait. The Y.E.S. program is a good thing. Besides doing the lessons, which take up a couple of hours, the kids got to do whatever they wanted. The first time was with my 6th graders and the second time was with our Beta Club. We are supposed to go again this year, but I'm not sure what our lesson will be.

Thank you for answering me! I am hoping that there are others out there that can also add their input!
