Has anyone here had Laser Resurfacing?

I have some acne scars from my teen years that are still lurking around. I also have some redness that has never gone away. I was reading about it today.

I've been for one microdermabrasion treatment, and I haven't noticed any difference at all. I'm just wondering if by the time I've spent $1000 and 5 months getting several treatments if I wouldn't have been better off just going ahead with resurfacing.

Do you know if there is something in between those two treatments that works better than microderm but isn't as expensive as laser resurfacing?

My husband's dermatologist told him that for his type of acne scars, resurfacing would not be effective. I guess it only works for certain types - and he advised him not to bother.

I would definately check with a good plastic surgeon. Don't choose the dr. with the lowest prices or the best advertising, ask your physician for a reference or ask some folks you know who've had work done and look great! If you're uncomfortable with the way your skin looks, it's perfectly OK to have some work done.
