I heard this at a WW meeting and it was about a relative of the leader. This person lost a lot of weight but never liked milk so he didn't drink it. He had a ton of sagging skin afterward. He went to his doctor about something else and the doctor asked if he had been drinking milk during his weight loss. He said no and the doctor said that's why he has all the extra skin. He said there is something in milk that helps the skin firm up.

I don't know if its true but its made me be sure and get my milk in!

Wow - I had never heard that but I'm sure willing to try anything along the way so I won't need surgery later!!!

Well, isn't that interesting? I had never heard that before, and quite frankly sagging skin is an extreme worry of mine. I have quite the tummy and I am worried about what that will look like later?

there is something else about milk, I don't remember exactly what it was, but if you don't drink milk, your brain releases a chemical that actually slows downs your weight loss. I will have to do some research on this, and get back to you.

but one thing I know for sure, just in case this report is correct, I am going to get in all of my milk! Between osteoporosis and everything else, milk does a body good! ;)

Huh. I haven't had a glass of milk since I was about 8. That must be why I look so old :p

Oh my gosh! My mother is 75 and looks her age. She drinks lots of milk and always has, just imagine how bad she would look if she hadn't drank her milk. Holy Cow

A nurse told me the same thing about bee pollen. I don't believe a word of it though.

I just take calcium. I'll have to live with this loose skin of mine, I suppose :teeth:

it has something to do with vitamins A and E that are mostly found in milk and in a great quantity.

I heard it was any "dairy" product...same I heard for lowfat Yogurt.., etc..I think its more a calcium thing found in dairy products.
