Has anyone heard of The Westin Grand Bohemian? I decided to try out priceline.com for a hotel. I clicked downtown orlando (dummy me) thinking it was downtown disney, which im still not sure if it is. Anyways, i got this hotel for $110 a night. It looks beautiful and sounds like a great hotel, but it is 13 miles from disney, do you think that will be a big problem? I talked to my BF and he said that he wouldnt mind just going to two parks and relaxing in the hotel one night since it is so nice. Has anyone stayed here before? THANKS!

Haven't stayed myself but they are a very upscale Starwood property managed by the Kessler Group, who also manage the Celebration Hotel and a few others in the area including the Sheraton Studio City where we're going. You got a great price for that hotel, we were looking into it and they wanted about $350 a night or 10,000 starpoints which is the same amount of Starpoints they wanted for the Swan/Dolphin, to make a comparison my hotel is only 3000 points a night. If you go to tripadvisor.com, they get great reviews. Please let us know how you like it.

I saw this hotel on TV, it was a show about those "bridezilla's". They were planning a wedding there and it looked beautiful.

I think you got a good deal! :goodvibes

I've always wanted to find an excuse to stay at the Westin Grand Bohemian - I hadn't thought about making a 'mistake' on Priceline! ;) You got a fantastic rate.

You're right, though, it's a fair old trek to WDW (albeit an easy drive down the I-4). The hotel in bang slap in the middle of Downtown Orlando. Still, it's not impossible, just not ideal. I think it might make a nice change - just make up your minds to make the most of it.

Thanks everyone! I know, it sounds absolutely stunning! When I chose my price on priceline i never thought i would get a hotel of that class and for that price! What a deal! I was hoping for a resort at WDW but I guess my expectations for the price i was looking for was to high. :) I agree it will be a commute trying to go back and forth to the parks, but like my BF said " yeah it will be a hassle, but it lucks stunning, who cares!" lol. i guess he is right. Thats a great idea about the atlas, i will def. try and find some side roads to go through instead of taking dreaded I4. I will def. give you guys a review when i get back. Thanks again for all of your inputs!

I wouldn't worry at all about the "trek", and downtown Orlando is really nice area with lots to do. Also don't forget they have fabulous beds, and cable TV and you can rent movies, unlike Disney which I think has about 3 channels (ok maybe exaggerating a little hehe), it really is nice after a long day and I'm not a real big TV person. You got me thinking of that hotel now instead instead of Sheraton Studio City, if I can get a great deal like you did. Have fun!

lol, well if you are interested, there is a chance you might be able to get the same hotel... but it also depends on the time. I am going April 14-18.
