I found some really good deals on ds games that my kids want for Christmas but I am a little scared about ordering from this website. Has anyone heard or ordered from them before?

Is discdirect website a scam? This site is a little fishy, and I've tried to look up information against it but can't find any. It has a lot of rare merchandise for fairly cheap, which is why it drew me in. It's also a pretty plain site and doesn't seem to have much to navigate.

1. The website design looks a little bit broken. But I've seen many 'professional' websites which are worse.
2. A very limited amount of information on pricing, shipping policies and contact details.
3. All prices are in US Dollars, yet they ship internationally and the website is hosted in The Netherlands.

5. The owner of the domain chooses to not reveal his information by using the services of WhoisGuard, an anonymous mailbox-like service for website owners.

I'd say this website is fishy. Could just be a struggling startup with not a whole lot of resources, or a site specifically designed for scamming. Either way, they are probably not really reliable.

If you think its fishy, don't use it. Use your gut instinct. And just remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'm not sure what games you're looking at, but the prices didn't look good enough to risk it to me.

Thanks everyone!! After going through what I did with HP and the water bottle deal I am going to steer clear of this one. The Skylanders Wii game was what I was after but hopefully Toys R Us will run a gift card offer for the Wii soon.

I did a "whois" lookup. The web site was created less than two months ago. The registration gives a proxy registrar, so you cannot find out who they really are or where they are located. Their site has no phone number or address or contact us; no privacy policy, etc.

There's something wrong with their site. If you try to enter your credit card information it always comes back with a message saying your card is not a valid number. I guess I should be grateful for that given the rest of the comments in this string. It does sound a little bit too good to be true for some items. However, I found a DS game that was only a few dollars cheaper than Gamestop.
