I am wondering if it is worth hauling my 3 year old over there for lunch while my hubby is at his conference :thumbsup2 When answering keep in mind - I'm adventurous from a culinary perspective, as long as it doesn't involve bell peppers.

Thanks!

I'm allergic to bell peppers so I can assure you there is none in this dish. I really liked it but it's not for everyone. It's very rich and flavorful but if you don't like squash or pumpkin flavor as savory skip it. I have to be in the right culinary mood for it, it's not an everyday thing to eat.

I thought it was delicious and there were no bell peppers. I do have a picture of it if I could figure out how to upload it.

I have had the pumpkin ravioli here several times, and every time was deliclious. We always get an order of them , just cannot pass them up. Tyr it, you will like it!:yay:

I haven't specifically had the pumpkin ravioli from WP, but I once ordered pumpkin ravioli (prepared in a very similar way, with a similar brown butter/sage sauce) at a VERY high end Italian restaurant, thinking I would like it, and to be honest, I had to choke it down. It was NOT what I was expecting. I guess it was too rich for me. You have to imagine taking canned pumpkin and basically eating a spoonful straight, to get an idea of how strong the filling is going to be. It was too much for me. I'd rather have my pumpkin in pie form. ;)

Now, if you've had pumpkin ravioli before and liked it, then I imagine it's wonderful at WP Cafe. I've never been disappointed in the food there.

I love the Pumpkin Ravioli. You can also add chicken to it.

I also recommend the Butternut Squash Soup and the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken and mashed potatoes. You an get these items at the WP Express which might an easier way to eat with a small child than the inside but you cannot get the Ravioli at the Express, nor the Fabulous Flourless Chocolate Cake.

I simply think this best food at DW.

I haven't had WP but I had some at Flying Fish once that was good. If you want to try something at home it not ravioli, but it is very good & the salad that goes with it wonderful.

I have made something very similar to that before. I loved it. I have also made a butternut squash lasagna that is really good. It's a bit of work, but phenominally delicious! http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/BUTTERNUT-SQUASH-AND-HAZELNUT-LASAGNE-105911

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think we'll definitely have to make the trip over there :)

My Sis in law raved so much about this she said it was sooooooooo good.

I have to tell you that this just might be my favorite dish I have ever had. I am not a pumpkin fan at all, but this is done right and does not taste too pumpkin-ish at all. I crave this between my WDW vacations. I have tried similar dishes at other restaurants and nothing compares to this. It is a must do each trip. They also have the best bread there too, it taste home-made. I say try it. Kim

I loved it when I ate there. Here's a picture;

I absolutely love the pumpkin raviolis at WP! I seriously cried when they took it off the WP Express menu but every now and then I tell DH we have to go to WP I had another ravioli dream LOL! :rotfl:

I think that you are going to have to judge this for yourself. I had the pumpkin ravioli a long time ago at FF and loved it. So when I ordered it at Wolfgang's, I thought I would love it just as much. I couldn't even eat it. It was way too sweet and rich for me. brergnat's description was very accurate to me. By the way SlightlyGoofy, I totally agree the squash soup is fabulous!

Eva, I hope that you and I do not go at the same time otherwise we might have to arm wrestle over that soup. I do not even like soup and I have dreams about that stuff. Put me in a room with several versions and I can pick out the WGP version every time. My favorite was when they put MM ears on mine with the red sauce. :love:
