Has anyone had one of their FP's disappear and replaced with something else?

We booked our FP's on the 180 +10 day and had a FP for 7 dwarfs mine train and when I went in today to print everything for our trip that starts on March 7th it is gone and replaced with a totally different FP for Jungle Cruise????? Of course there is no availability anymore for 7dmt.

Has anyone ever had this happen? Any suggestions on what I can do?
 
happens sometimes when things go down for refurbishment or are not going to be avaialble at certain times.

Or it could be a glitch, Call Disney IT.

180 plus 10 is for restaurant reservations - if you are staying onsite FPs were at 60 days.
 
I printed my FP+ when I made them. Just in case. It might not help get me any recourse if they do somehow get changed. But at least I can prove what I had when I made them.
 
FYI..... you made your FPs at 60 days out, not 180. :)

I'm not aware of 7DMT going down for refurb any time soon. So I would call Disney IT and insist that they replace it. I would not take no for an answer.

We lost PoTC and the replacement was the Laugh Floor. Had to change that real quick to something that actually necessitates the need of a FP. It turns out PoTC was going down for maint right before the holiday crush, so they closed the ride completely. I wonder if they cancelled all FP for minetrain that or just a specific period of time.

I really think disney should e-mail guests when they have switched FP+ reservations. Once again it's another fine example tof their excellent customer service. If you don't like it, get stuffed!

Last Friday we were headed to Magic Kingdom when I received an email that my FP for Big Thunder Mountain RR had been changed to an anytime FP on any ride except for 7DMT and Anna/Else meet and greet. The email was the only reason I noticed that something had changed before walking all the way over there...

I'm glad they e-mail you if you FP'ds disappear while you're visiting. But I think they should all guests who have FP+ reservations for an upcoming trip. I don't wnat to find out that Disney has taken away a FP+ reservation and substituted something else. I don't think that's acceptable. If there's a problem, guests should be notified so that the guest can make changes if needed.
 
I think it's pretty rotten that they would swap out anybody's FP for any reason and not send some sort of official notification.

Do you know if BTMR was down at the time? If I understand correctly, an attraction that goes down during your FP+ time, you will be offered alternative FPs. The offerings will vary based on what attraction you were booked on. If it is early, in the day, you have the option to go to that same attraction. Late in the park hours you may have to pick something else. Typically, the headliners are not included as an option, e.g. if TSMM goes down you will not be offered RRC. DAK is an exception on that all FP+ attractions are offered as an alternative.
 
We had our 7DMT cancelled the morning of, but Disney emailed us and we got a generic FP to use on a list of about 5-6 rides (including 7DMT) for any time during the park's hours, so we could go into the FP line for it whenever.
 
I wish they would offer a text instead of an email. I do not use the email feature on my phone. I get so much email in a day with two businesses and FB notifications it is insane. When I am on vacation I don't even check my email until I am home again.
 
We have a group of 9 under 3 different MDE (my 2 sisters and I each have an MDE). Somehow my sister's husband and son were dropped off of our FP + reservations. I didn't even see their Magic Bands in the MDE for myself or my other sister. My sister with the husband/son that were missing and I each called IT and ended up getting their Magic Bands to show up but there was no availability for Wishes and Anna/Elsa. The person my sister spoke to didn't seem to think it was a big deal and told her, "People cancel all the time, keep checking." Well, I have been checking several times a day but not contantly for about a week and I have not been able to find availability. I am thinking we should complain. We also had to move our TSM and Mine Train Fast Passes to a much later time but were able to get those all together.

@SPOERLX3 I would call Disney IT as mom2rtk suggested and see if you could get the JC FP changed to an anytime FP on any ride since you made the FP in advanced.

You could set up an mail account specifically for Disney, and just check that one while you're there. Probably more effective than expecting Disney to change its entire notification process.
 
I just went to put my Fastpasses onto my calendar as we leave on Sunday. Our 7DMT FPs were replaced with one for the electrical parade. I called Disney IT (407-939-7765) and they said that nothing was changed on their end, my original FPs were for the electrical parade, and I must be mistaken. However, my 3 year old is currently obsessed with the seven dwarfs and meets the height requirement by one inch, so this was our number one FP and we were so excited to get it. Thus, I KNOW that I had it originally, but I don't have screen shots or anything so I'm out of luck according to the IT person I talked to.

We are planning on doing the Magic Kingdom on March 3. If we are there for rope drop, and go straight to 7DMT, think we'll be done in time for a 9:45 reservation at the Crystal Palace? Magic Kingdom opens at 9 a.m. that day... I don't know what (if any) wiggle room there is for ADRs.

Sorry friends, we have had a crazy weather week in the DFW area's of TX and I havent been on my computer much. I called and spoke to an amazing couple of CM's and they did in fact provide me with a FP good for all day 8am-11pm for "Select any Experience". The first CM explained to me that when you are first making your FP, not every tab gives you the same offerings so it is possible that the "best" tab had 7dmt but tab 1 or 2 didn't???? Why in the world would they have it set up that way?? So please double check when you are booking your FP's! Thank you all again for all of your insight and help! Happy Disney planning!!! XOXO

Yeah, it sounds like the is a problem with FPs [hopefully a rare one] so I would just suggest screenshotting EVERYTHING whenever you get a confirmation page/letter just so that way you have proof when something like this comes up. It might be a hassle, but it would be worth it just in case.

If you could go to the MK another day, and show up early to do the 7DMT [or show up for a day that has morning EMHs at the MK], I would recommend that.

Otherwise, you could in theory go do the 7DMT, it would just be very rushed. I would recommend showing up to the park 15-30 minutes before it opens so that way when it does open you can go as quickly as possible straight to 7DMT, do 1 ride through and then head straight over to the Crystal Palace. The ride is a fairly short one at about less than 5 minutes, so it would just be the lines to worry about.
