Has anyone had kids do Pirate Cruise - Reviews?

Just wondering if it's worth $30 per kid to do the pirate cruise that launches from 4 different resorts...we were thinking of the one from Yacht Club so we could tour the Boardwalk when they were off cruising.

Our boys (10 & 5) did the Pirate's Cruise from the YC on June 9th and had a blast. My 5 yr old, who is very quiet and doesn't part from us easily, wants to do it again on our December trip (our 10 y/o does too). Our oldest told us that they went into the WS while it was still closed and searched for treasure or clues in some of the countries. He said it was really cool. Right before they came back in to dock, a pirate stole another boat and it was up to them to stop him. I got some really nice pics and we could hearing the kids yelling and laughing from shore. Definitely worth the money for them.

I believe that the Pirate Cruise is well worth the money! DD went on the GF one a few years ago when she was 5 and had a blast. We could hear them laughing and shouting well before they sailed into sight.
DD still talks about what a great time she had.

My boys (6 and 4) did the one at the GF on June 2, and they loved it! Well worth the money, they're still talking about it.

My DS8 did the pirate cruise from the GF on May 19, and had a blast. He went "solo" and they matched him up with another "solo traveler" so every child has a buddy. He came back with a ton of loot, and he got a little lunch. I think it was well worth the $$....and it was his birthday gift from us since his birthday was May 17.

I think its one of the best values at WDW. Our son has done 2, the Albatross out of the YC and the Pirates cruise out of the GF. This summer he's trying to one at the CBR.

My daughter did this last may when she was 5. She loved it and asks when she can do it again! We booked the one at GF.

It is a definate must do for us! Our DS is 10 now and this will be his final cruise. He is actually sad that he won't be able to do it next year. I think they kinda like being away from Mom and Dad for a few hours doing their own thing on vaca. Hope your kids enjoy it! Oh, BTW, if your going during Halloween, last year they added a nightime Halloween version on the nights of the MNSSHP, you should book those if your going then, he said it was awesome!

I'm sure they'll love it! Our girls had a great time, we kept it a surprise too until the night before. If you click my trip report link, you can see the "announcement" we gave them. It's in the first post on page 8.

After I read about the pirate cruise....I tried to book for my sons 4th birthday....it was full....so a few days ago I called back and they had a cancellation......I think I am more excited than my son is.....I so much wanted him to have this for his birthday.....

How do you find out if they are doing that this year? I already have the kids booked for one in Sept but this might be nice as well.
