We have been several times for breafast or lunch but never tried dinner. The menu looks great but would like to have some feedback. TIA!

We had dinner there in January and September, 2004. DH and I enjoyed our meals both times. It was quiet, comfortable and not overly crowded. The food was good, as well. Our kids came with us one of those times and they were fine with the menu and surroundings (they were 4 and 2 and can be a handful ;) ).

If you have been there before, you know that it is a lovely little place! Have a great time!

Hi :wave2: , we just love the GF Cafe. Its a must do for us each trip. Sometimes for Breakfast & sometimes for Dinner. The menu has a variety of foods that is sure to please everyone in the family!! Enjoy!! :goodvibes

We were there last August. The food was great. The French Onion Soup was great, the best I have ever had. The prime rib was also wonderful. My DH had the ceasar chicken salad, and felt that there wasn't alot of chicken there. The desserts were also really good. We are putting it on our list for our trip this August.

Thanks for the input! I am sold. We will have dinner there during our trip.

Dh and I enjoyed dinner there in April. I did a review. We used the DDE card. We didnt have a adr, there was a storm and we called ahead. It was a wait, but we didnt mind because we got to listen to the musicians in the GF lobby. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our server was Jessi and she was fantastic. Very attentive etc. We had sourdough rolls and small cinnamon raisin loafs in a bread basket on the table. DH had the french onion soup which he pronounced fantastic. I had the field green salad. Very good but the dressing was a little over powering. We shared the crab cakes. They were huge and we loved the mango salsa too. Fantastic. For the main course DH had the pistachio crusted snapper. , I had the pasta dish with shrimp and asiago cheese. It was huge and I couldnt finish it. DH piece of fish was huge. For dessert we shared the fondue. DH choice. I really didnt care for that. It was dark cholocate and I think they gave us bannas, marshmallows, pineapple etc. I would have liked to try some of the minature desserts instead. They were small so I really dont know if they would actually serve 2. It was a good experience.

About 10 years ago my wife and I had an excellent breakfast there. She wants to go back, but I have no idea if it is still as good as it was.

Just looked at the menu last night, trying to decide where to have dinner at GF. DH said the snapper sounded very good to him & he also loves crab cakes. You're first-hand experience makes me think this is the right restaurant for us!

Thanks luvmarypoppins!
