Has anyone had a Pixie event from Gifts of a Lifetime?

I heard about this on another website and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this company and their events. I am surprising my husband with a trip to Disney for his 30th birthday this Feb and thought having a Pixie event could be a fun/exciting addition to this trip.

Yes, I had them do a small event for me a little over a year ago when we were with my brother and family. It turned out really cute. I considered doing something for DH, but he's not really the type to enjoy something like this. She's very nice and has lots of cute ideas.

I don't know your husband...
How much is he into Disney? If not so much or average, a better surprise might be the Richard Petty Driving experience.
If he is totally into Disney, then he might like it.

We have never done it for adults, but they did a great job two times for our children alone, and once when we went with friends.
Jane, the woman that we booked it with was wonderful and came up with great ideas. I am sure if you gave her some information about your husband, she would create a great event.
Don't wait too long to fill out the question sheet, we were looking to do an event when my whole family went, and they were all booked already.
Good luck.

Thanks for the quick replies:) He's really into Disney. I think it's because his parents never took him when he was a kid so he spent his whole life until he was almost 27 hyping it up in his mind. Then we went for a week with my family and he was a hyper, crazy, lunatic who never slept the whole week because he was so excited to be there. He randomly brings up that trip/going to Disney again at least once a week (the trip was 3 years ago). Also, he is onto cars and stuff, but not Nascar- isn't that Richard Petty experience a Nascar thing? He's more of a Formula 1 kind of a guy.

I was also kind of wondering what the events involve, specifically. The web site is kind of vague, so I was hoping someone could tell me about their specific experience.

I filled out the application yesterday, so I hope it's not too late for my date. We'll see, I guess.

Gifts of a Lifetime is fabulous! DH surprised me with an event for my 31st birthday. I'll never forget it...lots of fun and I never suspected a thing! ::MickeyMo

Gifts of a lifetime does events, things like scavenger hunts, vow renewals, family amazing race, survivor etc. They also do room decorating and personal shopping.

I had looked into this for my trip last November. I don't think I heard back until October (could have been Sept.), and Jane had some great ideas. With the initial email, she came back with 3 ideas with 3 different price ranges. Unfortunately, I couldn't swing the $ at the time, so had to nix that idea. She was very gracious when I told her I couldn't do it...

I think the reason there are no specifics on the site are to preserve the surprise - yes, every event will be different, but I'd imagine that there are only so many ideas to go around, and they want to preserve the "magic" ;)

HTH:)

Jane will tailor just about anything for you. I had her meet me and DW at The Garden Grill in The Land pavilion in Epcot back in May of 2004. I had scheduled a re-hitch ceremony [no longer offered] at the afternoon ice cream social [also no longer offered] and really wanted to have pictures of the whole thing but this trip was only going to be me and DW so Jane acted as our own personal paparazzi and took 3 rolls of pictures of us with all the CM's and characters. What great memories she gave us and she truely loves her job.

I filled out the questionare 3 weeks ago and she didn't get back to me..I did this two years ago and she never called me at all..I don't want to bug her but my daughters birthday is jan 28. so its getting close....how long does it take for her to plan something? thanks :earsgirl:

We used "Gifts Of A Lifetime" last November '04 to thank my parents. Jane was fabulous. I remember I e-mailed her at least 9 months prior to our trip and didn't hear back from her until about 6 weeks before we left.

We used her to do a "Thank You" to our parents who made our trip to Disney a reality. (Mom, Dad, me, DH, DS6, DS7, Sis, BIL, nph5 and nph18mnths) :grouphug:

Like some of the other posts, I believe she had 2 ideas for us and three different variations of it for price. In the end I think it was around $300. My parents had three "chance" meetings where they were given gifts and poems were read. Both of my parents were in tears and really appreciated the thought that went into the event. Very memorable! A whole double spread in my scrapbook!!

Gifts of a Lifetime created a magical Christmas Eve event for us a few years ago. We came back to our room following the Candlelight Processional and the room was all lit up with Christmas lights and decorations. A beautiful Disney decorated tree was there with all the presents I had previously sent down to Jane. The bed and floor were sprinkled with pixie dust and the whole effect was fantastic! What I remember most is that there was one little box under the tree with my name on it. It was a very nice Disney mug and the tag said it was from "Santa". I still have it and think of Jane everytime I use it. I would highly recommend her services.
