Has anyone gotten discount at ASMo for early December?

We got Sports for $ 54.00 a night, but really really want ASMo but they only have full price.

Just curious if anyone else was able to get it at a discount?

I just booked ASMu ($49 FL Res.) for 11/8 because they didn't offer the discount at Movies. It seems like Movies never has discounted rooms.

Movies NEVER has discounted rooms because they don't need to discount to get people there. People will pay to stay there so there's no need for management to offer a deal. If you want to stay there, you will have to pay rack or at the very least DC or AAA

I got ASMo in November 2001 and February 2002 for $ 49.00 a night so I know that they DID offer discounts, just not sure about now.

Yep that seems to be what has finally happened - Disney's realized that they don't "have" to offer discounts at the ASMovies, everyone wants to stay there whether full price or not. Business is business I guess .... .but they certainly used to offer discounts there, just not anymore (other than Disney Club or AAA I believe).

In Nov/Dec, 2001, we got the $49 rate at the All Star Movies!!

Originally, we were booked at the Movies for I think $77/night. Then, a special came up for $59/night, but it was not available at Movies, only the Music or Sports. So, I moved us to the Music. Then, the $49/night special came, but it was only available at Sports, so I moved us to the Sports. Then I just called and asked if there was any way we could switch to the Movies at our $49 rate and the CM said YES!!! I was so excited!!

I do think that this was probably because things were slow last fall.

We were booked at ASMo for six months but couldn't get a Dec discount so we ended up using the codes to upgrade to AKL. Felt it was a better deal. With the codes, the moderates would be even a better deal, but since we were onyly staying one night, we thought we would splurge!

Are they getting overflow from AsSp with football players and cheerleaders? Early December is Pop Warner time and why would they discount if they have built in guests.

Eeyore2U~~The weird thing is that with all of the Pop Warner stuff one would think that ASSp is the one to fill up first, but according to the Disney web site, for Debsi's dates at least, ASSp was the only one with availibility left!

Maybe they had cancellations at the discounted rates. It seems that once booked a discounted rate is lost at cancellation.
