Has anyone gotten borrowed points returned?

It looks like we're going to have to cancel our first DVC trip planned for Jan. It's a big family trip so I had to borrow 13 points from 2022. Has anyone asked and gotten back their borrowed points on cancelled trips?

I have read that a few people who had some last minute medical reasons lately to cancel at the last minute got pixie dust.

I just chatted with a cast member and they said no. I was wondering if it was worth trying again. Two of us in the travel party have pretty significant auto-immune diseases, so it's definitely for medical reasons.

Most of the ones I read about were last minute emergencies Unfortunately, it probably is going to be difficult but at least it is only 13 points
