We are going Saturday night in Philadelphia and it is a surprise for DS (6). Just wondering what to expect. :)

I went to the shows in NJ and had a blast.

Just be prepared that the show is long. So you may want to see if he can take a nap in the afternoon. It starts around 7:15pm and ends around 10pm. There's a 25 minute intermission.

We went to the show in Hershey and it rocked!!!!! Loved it...much better than last year!! Chris is so awesome! Can't wait for HIS tour to come along! Ace was much better than he was on the show, he won me over! Bucky was improved, Kelly was Kelly...haha. Didn't care for Paris, trying to be Beyonce, Kat still wasn't at the show, but the song the guys did to her really was awesome! Lisa was really good, as was Elliott. Mandisa has an awesome voice. Taylor was a little slow starting, but when he warmed up, he took off!!!! The group songs and duets were all very good. You will have an awesome time...very good family entertainment. Look for the Pop Tart giveaways on your way out! They do have a program for sale ($10) and it has all the kids individually and is a really nice souvenier. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We surprised our dd's and went to the show in MA. We loved it! We thought they were all great (the family favorites were Chris, Ace and Kellie!). Chris was the obvious crowd favorite, he rocked!! We got the program which they love, they look at it every day (and cheaper than buying 3 t-shirts, lol!).

Have a great time, you and your ds will love it!!! (I'm jealous, I would like to go again!)

We all had a great time last night. DS was real surprised! Our seats were the 2nd to last row at the top LOL, but it was not that bad.

We had NO idea Katharine was not going to be there and there was NO mention of it at all. We were surprised that none of them acknowledged her at all.

We had a terrible time hearing/understanding Mandisa. At first we thought it was the seats but then when Ace and Lisa performed it was much better. Paris, again could not understand but she just basically did a lot of running around. At one point DH was not sure if she was lip syncing because she was running and shaking like crazy LOL. The total best performance was like others said..Chris. He was awesome. Looked a little uncomfortable during the group performances, as it does not seem to be his element.

Anyone going, not sure if it is everywhere, but keep an eye out for Taylor's entrance. Surprised a lot of people and it was neat.

It was a lot of fun, we are really glad we went. It was so neat to see such a mix of people going. Mostly families, but just a lot of fun to watch everyone when their favorites on.

Oh...they were NOT allowing big signs in Philadelphia. Not sure if that is the rule everywhere if they fear it will block fans view. There were only a handful that somehow made it in. But we walked by a trashcan filled with signs that people made.

Hope you all enjoy! :)

Glad you had a good time, it was fun, wasn't it?
That's too bad they didn't even mention Katherine. At the show we went to the guys dedicated the song they did together to her. Also, we had signs as did many others, so that must be up to the arena where it's being held. And funny, we could hear Mandisa, as well as the others, fine but it was Elliot that we had a problem hearing. It was almost like it was his microphone or something.

BTW, I love the picture in your signature, we always take a picture of our kids in that very spot!

Kat was supposed to return 7/19 but now the date is 7/26-27. I guess it depends on the doctor's decision.

Are you kidding??? I was there too. Would have loved to meet my fellow Dis-board Jovi fan. So I guess you were the other *one* singing along loudly to "Wanted?" Well, maybe I'll catch you on Chris' tour

OP - I'm glad you had fun, but I heard about the traffic. My sis was heading for Atlantic City that night and I warned her about the show and (I think) the Phillies game. She said it was a nightmare around there.

I love concerts and live music and this was a really unique experience. It was DSs first concert and just perfect for him. A lot of families. Very professionally done, not cheesy (except the girls' number, sorry), and worth the $$.

And Taylor was born to do this, man, he is amazing....!

Glad you enjoyed your show also!! Traffic was pretty bad AND the Phillies game was postponed. My DH said it was the first time in ages that it took him longer than 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

We took our son to his first concert last month to see Bruce Springsteen & the Seeger Sessions Band at the Camden Waterfront. He stood the entire time and had the best time!!! My DH was just in his glory watching his son stand and clap and sing and dance along to Sprinsteen! It was fun for all of us. Another "family type" show. I was amazed at the amount of kids I saw there!

I quit paying much attention after the season ended. What's wrong or what happened to Kat?

Glad you had a good time.

At our show there were signs on all of the doors saying kat was not there. That's odd that they didn't do that for you guys.

i love your new picture! :thumbsup2

Hey ckay87, I would have loved to have met you in Hershey!!!! Wasn't the show awesome?? We are trying to score some last minute tickets to the Sept show in Hershey, but no luck so far!!! 'Wanted' was by far my favorite performance, Chris just melts my heart!! We will definately see ya on the Chris tour!!!! :woohoo:

I think Kat has been having some vocal problems, if I'm not mistaken. We're going to the 8/22 show in Minneapolis. Should I bring a camera or are they banning cameras at the shows? :sunny:

They were encourgaging bringing in cameras at Hershey...hardly even looked in my backpack. I had a pretty large digital and they never even looked at it!
As long as it doesn't have a detachable lense you will be fine.

Thanks, WVJovifan! I'll just bring my digital camera. We have seats on the floor so I don't know if it'll be possible to get any good shots, but I'll try! (I'll be trying to snap Ace, but I know my DH will be looking at Pickler!) :woohoo:
