I wanted my 5yr old to experience horseback riding and I found this ranch in Orlando while searching online. Just wondering if anyone has gone there and what their experience was like. Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of it before. I've only been familiar w/ the fact you can horseback ride at WDW at Ft Wilderness. I will be interested to see if you can get a review here. :goodvibes

Most places won't allow under 9 year old to ride.

kids this little can't generally control the horses.

there is a pony ride at FW that she would love!!!

spiceycat- do you know that for sure about the place in question or is it just a general statement? I know around here we have a quite a few places to go horseback riding. Here it's a height/weight thing not an age. We go often and have had no problems w/ my best friend's 7 yr old- and she's been going for over a year now.

the places that I looked into at that time - agreed with WDW. the child must be 9 to control the horse.

this was several years ago - I was looking for my niece (she was 4 then) now she is 15.

I don't think I even ran across horse world stables.

how close is this to WDW?

We have not been there, my DD rides at a local stable, but I know families who have gone there, and had good things to say. It is about 15 miles from WDW - off of Hwy 192 - the area that has all the "other" tourist stuff!

From the website -
Trail Riding:
We have three types of guided trail rides available depending on what you're looking for. The first is our Nature Trail Ride. This is a basic ride that is a nature walk on horseback. No experience is needed. Anyone six years of age or older can ride on their own horse. Any child five years of age and under can ride with their parent or guardian. If you are looking for a nice easy going relaxing ride then this is the horseback ride for you. It lasts about 45-50 minutes.
