I know it's easier to phone them but just curious if ANYONE has ever done it via online?

For T-Rex, you should call the restaurant directly. They maintain a separate reservation system with much better availability.

If you join the Landry Select club there is no need to make a reservation. Simply show your card when you arrive and they will seat you next. We went in Sept and the couple ahead of us was quoted an hour and 25 minute wait. We stepped up showed our card and was then take directly to a table.

You can also do this at the Rainforest. It is a Landry Restaurant as is Bubby Gumps at Universal.

See bullet point number 4.

Thanks but not interested. I was just curious because when I've been looking online (very often) over the last 6 months have never seen a reservation show up. I've called like three times but nothing available but no biggie.

ISimply show your card when you arrive and they will seat you next

If you aren't lucky enough to get THAT level of service, then you simply bypass the wait to get into the line that leads you to the seater. That is what generally happens with us with both TRex and RFC, including our local RFC and the one in Anaheim. Less of a wait than the random person that shows up, but you can still have a line in front of you.

Now I've also been told that I should just go up to the checkin people (at our local RFC that's at the elephant, which means it's another line you bypass. But that takes guts to do, for me. :)

Who are you calling? TRex isn't really a place that fills up with reservations. Are you calling them directly, or are you calling Disney Dining?

There was a phone number posted on a thread and have been calling the restaurant directly. We are a table of 8 on Friday Dec 26th and they either have a 4:30 or 8:30 which doesn't work for us. Even before then I've looked at other times for table for 4 and nothing shows up online.

We got a reservation for January - we did it close to our 180 day opening. But we were able to switch for a different time on the same date about a month ago.

That is not always true....we are Landry's members (for years) and had an ADR and one of the times we still had to wait over 1/2 hour.

I nabbed one at my 180 day mark--our party (of 7) is splitting up for that meal so I figured I'd just check for T-REX when I made the other 2 reservations for the other groups.
