I am interested in going to see DLP and we are from Canada. I have no idea where to start to find deals and the cheapest way to do it. I checked the DLP web site and found that in Nov we could go for 8 nights for $2500 Canadian (I converted the amount)
BUT I don't know if that is enough time. Is it similar to WDW or DL so that 8 days would be ok. They offer tours that include trips into Paris to see things like the Eiffel Tower. Is that a good deal ?
Where do we fly into ? How do we get from the airport to DLP ? :)
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I'm not from Canada but 8 days is a long time for DLP. You probably need 6 at the very most if you want to do both the main park and the studios, and a day trip to Paris. The two parks are literally next door to each other, and so 4 or 5 days would be plenty. I am not an expert on flying to DLP (did it once 9 years ago) but there are lots of dis boarders who use a transfer company (can't remember the name!) from the airport. There are lots of ways to do DLP cheaply but it can get quite complicated depending on when you are going, who you are going with, and the ages of those people.

I'm a three hour drive away and I hate staying less than 8 days :) There is so much to see and do, and taking time to take it all in rather than commando style WDW trips is fabulous relaxing! (My Granddad comes from Canada, does that count! *grins*)

Getting from the airport is easy. You can travel by train, coach transfer or share private transport (which is cheaper plus 9 times put of 10 you won't actually share). We usually drive over but lots of DISers here travel by plane :)

I'd suggest doing a split stay between Paris and DLP. I love long stays at DLP (once stayed 9 nights!) but coming all the way from Canada, it would be a great shame not to experience some of what Paris has to offer by staying in the city rather than doing it as a day trip.

I would agree with Elaine, I would fly into Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport and spend at least three days in Paris to expore the city of lights then transfer to a hotel in Disneyland for the rest of your trip.

DLP is very much like DL with two parks, most people find four nights, five days enough to fully relax and enjoy the two parks without having to run around comando style.

Public transport links are very good between Paris and DLP and there is a train to the resort from central Paris.

After seeing the cost of flights we would probably do a 3 wk trip. And do part DLP and part just Paris. Is there anywhere you can recommend staying ? I know nothing about how to get around, where to stay, or not stay lol
How expensive is it for meals and such while we are going around Paris. I can buy the package at DLP so our meals are covered but wondering what I should budget for the rest of the time, and for getting around etc.

It has been so difficult planning our trip to dlp. No travel agent in canada handles dlp trips. One suggestion is to purchase A Brit's Guide to Disneyland Paris. I found my copy online at Cjapters. It's been a great resource.
Hope you have fun!
