Has anyone flown Spirit Airlines?

Hello,

I have a quick question for anyone that can help me. I am trying to schedule airfare for a trip to Disney world in mid August. I can get airfare for 4 through Southwest for $864.00. I have flown with them before and have been very happy. I can also get airfare for 4 through Spirit Airlines for $770.00. My question is, has anyone flown with them before and how happy were you with the service? I'm flying out of Detroit. Thank you for any help you can give!

We have been very happy with Spirit -- their customer service is wonderful and everyone has always been very pleasant. Our flight out of Orlando this past Saturday was delayed, and the pilot was out in the gate area talking to everyone about what was going on. Everyone just seems more accessible.
We would not hesitate to use them again.

We have flown Spirit out of Detroit twice and have had really good fights. I am waiting for the prices to hopefully go down for our trip in Jan. I am looking at Spirit or Air Tran out of Flint. Have a great trip

My friend fly's back to Chicago twice a year and flys Spirit. Just had me book a flight for 7/9, round trip 181.00.
He is very satisfied

I've flown a few times with Spirit out of Detroit Metro. Never had any problems. Maybe you'll get the singing flight attentant that we had last May (2002). He was hilarious! Also, if you're close to Flint airport, AirTran has some pretty good prices. That is a small airport but so easy to get around in.

We just flew Spirit out of Detroit to Vegas. Check in at Detroit was a breeze on a mid Saturday morning. We were quite impressed.

Just don't buy the $4 Snack pack.....it's so not worth it!!

Hi, Miwings, from a fellow Michigander. Just wanted to say welcome to the boards! Don't be nervous. People around here are generally really friendly and extremely helpful. Glad to have you aboard!

I'll also be flying Spirit out of Detroit Metro for the first time in December. I've heard good things about Spirit, so I'm very optimistic. Boy, $770 for 4 people sounds pretty tempting. I think in your shoes I'd give it a shot. JMHO!

As someone else said, Flint is an awesome airport to fly out of too. It's so quiet and laidback. I'll be flying from there when I go back down to WDW in February, but I couldn't get a decent enough airfare from Flint for the Dec. trip.

The last time we went to wdw we used Spirit and we also went out of detroit. I never had any problems with spirit. We had a good trip

Just to keep everyone updated. I went to Orbitz and they must of had a special going because I was able to book my tickets on Spirit Airlines for the 4 of us for only $700.00. I could not pass that up. Thanks again for everyones help!!! MIwings
